Yeah, that's usually a misconception about hypnosis. You CANNOT be stuck in a trance. It's just like daydreaming. Either you'll fall into a natural sleep or you'll wake up by yourself. :) And I believe we're ALL freaks in some shape or form. We're all unique... ...Just like everybody else. :p

I hypnotized Amby, made her so relaxed she wouldn't move, started gently tickle-torturing her with imaginary feathers and fingers, and then gave her some positive hypnotic suggestions such as waking up not feeling tired and really energetic. Hopefully, when she comes back on, I hope the little suggestion worked. :sweat:

That's just it, though. You're NOT under their complete control. From what I'm hearing from her experience, she was completely aware of everything, but she just didn't really care. If the hypnotist actually tries something that you don't want to do, you're perfectly capable of just waking up and b*tch-slapping them across the face. :p Not to mention, for it to actually work, there needs to be a certain amount of trust between the hypnotist and the subject. If there isn't, then it's not going to work. Pure and simple. As for the post-hypnotic suggestions, they won't work if the subject's not deep enough. Heck, I tried to get her as deep as I could've possibly thought of and she didn't respond to the "Sleep at the snap of my fingers" suggestion after she woke up. (Especially since she was still aware the entire time) Besides, some post-hypnotic suggestions leave you off better than you were before (such as to stop drinking, smoking, non-exercise, etc.) And you actually end up feeling pretty good and well-rested after the fact. When she gets on, you could ask her yourself how it felt. :3 If you ever wanted to try it, you could always ask me. Of course, I'd need to be able to see if it was working or not (hence the webcam). I think you meant "therapist." :p But seriously, I know better than to mess with someone's mind like that.
Well, I have needs too. :sweat: J/K But, yeah. I was perfectly aware that she knew what was going on. And I couldn't do much because having her move around would mean a slight possible chance of the headphones she was using to hear me would be knocked off. And if that happened, I'd be pretty much screwed. I mean, she'd be perfectly fine. After not hearing my voice for awhile or if someone else got her attention, she'd have woken up by herself without any verbal cues from me. But when we do this again, no memory play or making her believe she's an animal or anything like that. Just a few suggestibility tests and positive suggestions (more energy, more focus, etc.) In the end, I'm just glad and psyched that it really worked. :woohoo:
Nah. It's not that exaggerated. She looked like she was extremely relaxed and sleeping. It was as if she were dreaming. And she was aware of everything that was going on so I couldn't actually do "anything" I wanted her to do... <_<; Darn.

It's true. I'll admit I definitely need more practice, but at least I've taken one step closer to actually fulfilling one of my life's dreams. :D
See? Another benefit from being hypnotized is the feeling of being extremely rested. I hope the energy helps you in the rest of your day. As for me, turns out I'm still working on my homework, two hours before class. I wouldn't trade last night's experience for anything, though. :woohoo: Although, I guess it's WAY too early to go with the whole "tickled on command" suggestion... :sweat:
