You should look into the shin megami tensei series. I prefer their style to RPG's than any other. Like Kites said, persona 3 & 4. Also, Devil Summoner 1 & 2.

It would be possible to make all boss' playable. i would just need to unpack and rebuild the files and reinsert.
LBA = position of the file on a disc. if i can figure out squares lba pattern i will be able to unpack all KH2's files.
I've been messing with KH2's lba pattern and trying to de-crypt it (square enix encrypts there tables to protect there files)

Depends on what type of ps2 you have. Phat(fat) model ps2's require swap magic and a slide card. Slim model ps2's require swap magic and magic keys. Or you can open up your slim ps2 and tape down the sensors instead of buying the magic keys. (this will void your warranty) other choice is a exploit or a modchip. So your answer is no, you need swap magic + either a slide card or magic keys.
Codes that use static address, yea. If it's a DMA code i would have to have 2 dumps under the same condition's to port it.
