I have a feeling this is like the question of the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow.

Some of the reviews say that some of the titles on the dvds are in Chinese and that the Snow White menu options are in Chinese. The company looks to be based out of Korea. And that they don't have other language options.

So yes. Bootlegged to hell and back.

Frozen is number 023 on the list. But no BH6.

    Still a good list though.

I had this same thought last night. Why the fudge would you apply to a job, keep saying you need money for whatever, and then do whatever you can to not work? I realize like 2/3s of the cashiers where I work are teenagers who have seemingly no concept how the actual world works. And have no concept of when you don't show up to your shift for whatever reason, that you're screwing someone else over. You want time off so you can be in the school play? Great. Make sure you got someone to cover for you. Don't just take for granted that someone's going to step up to the plate because someone's going to get scheduled to cover for you.

We had one cashier who recently quit. And most of the cashiers just kind of sit on the registers playing on their phones ( They don't clean. They don't straighten anything. They don't stock the soda cooler up front. They can do homework if they want. ) Anyway, this girl kept saying she was looking for other jobs which was fine. She worked at a printing place for 1 day and then quit because they made her do actual work.

And she kept working for us because she needed money for car payments. ( She had gotten a car for her boyfriend but her name was on the information. So if said boyfriend got in an accident, she'd be liable to pay the damages. wtf?) She bounced a check with us, which okay, things happen. When it came to the second check being bounced, she started to avoid the managers, okay, you're embarrassed. But fess up and deal with it. These people will bend over backwards to help you. You want more hours? That can be arranged.

Well, she was offered more hours and either said she couldn't work them or didn't want to work them. Which is also wtf? You say you need money, are offered hours to get money, and then refuse the hours?

It eventually came to the point where she couldn't put in her 2 week notice because she 'couldn't afford the gas to drive in to do so.' And this is after she'd missed two of her shifts two weeks in a row which I had to cover for her. Since there was no other option at the time.

And we had hired someone after this. She went through training. She had experience. She seemed like a shoe-in. She worked one 4 hour shift and then stopped coming. She was 7 months pregnant which really, no one's going to hire someone that cannot work one of the busiest retail seasons ever because she's going to have a baby. But the owner of where I work wanted to give her a chance because he's nice like that.

These past few months have been really stressful and I really am amazed I've made it through it. I mean, I've been used to having to take shifts no one else wants to work and I know it's more money for me in the end that I can use for holiday shopping or whatever. It's just the feeling of always being made to pick the short straw that I don't like.

Thanks guys. It makes me feel better that I'm not alone in this. Sometimes retail employees just have to rant.

I don't normally do this but I need to let off some steam.

I got my hours for next week.

    Tuesday: 8-4
    Wednesday 8-4
    Thursday: 8-4
    Friday: 4-8
    Saturday: 8-1
    Sunday: 8-5

Because apparently every other cashier is unavailable and because the scheduling manager is unable to say no, they all got the time off. I specifically asked for Halloween afternoon off because my Nephew and my Niece are going to be over. And in the real world, you are not always going to get the time off you request. You can request all you like, doesn't mean you're going to get it. Which is why I put in my off request for Black Friday now. I worked it last year and I hated it.

So I have 42 hours this week and I have chronic pain. yay. i usually don't even get 30 hours. And I hardly ask for time off. I make sure my vacation is in the summer when I know there's people to cover my hours. I got to leave a whole hour early for my dentist appointment this past Tuesday. Which gave me just enough time to drive home, brush and floss, and then drive to the dentist. Doesn't mean I should constantly get shafted like this. I realize it's retail but can the universe just give me a break once?

This better not happen every single holiday.

College will certainly take away a lot of time and energy. Of course I say that about the stuff that happens beyond college.

Sounds like effort. But to be honest, I kind of gave up being hyped for games since Sengoku BASARA's not being localized anymore. That was probably the start of it.

What's it like getting excited over video games? I don't remember.

Just excited for Gideon Emery to be back on Teen Wolf in January. I like his voice.

Learning languages isn't really supposed to be easy. Apart from your native language which you pretty much get from people around you. I've bean leaning German on my own for about...well, just shy of a decade I suppose. I can read it pretty well and I know a few words. But would I try speaking with a native German in their own language? Probably not. [ Luckily, they're pretty understanding and appreciate the effort. Or at least I've found. ]

On a different note, I have heard from non-English speakers how much of a ***** the English language is to learn. For instance, read and read. They're the same word written but spoken aloud they have different meanings. And they're/their/there is another one ESL learners have difficulty with, as do a number of native English speakers.

I have been having very alarming dreams lately. Part of is I should just get up when I wake up.

Like the other day, I woke up at 6am and I get up at 7am to start getting ready to work. But since I don't have to be awake until 7am, I settle back down into sleep. And that's when the dreams happen.

The one that I'm thinking of right now is the one that happened last Tuesday. I remember going down to the bank to get a debit card. And for some reason I'm wearing my apron from work which is just odd. So anyway, I'm trying to get this debit card and the teller is talking about something else. And this old man is trying to yank off my apron like he wants it. So I give him the apron if he wants it that badly. Meanwhile, I get so frustrated with the tellers, since there's a group of them talking and laughing about something else, that I ended up walking out of the bank.

The one this morning was...I'm not even sure how to describe it. I remember having to move these graves and having to catalog what was in each one. [ And I think they were children's graves because they were very small. ] And these children were crying but the children weren't really there. I woke up when one of the children ghosts touched me.
