Well, they were in the middle of a fight and her new friend was already asking questions one after another, trying to explain her life. Sure it would be easier to actually reply if there was time to write a message and a plastic man wasn't trying to plaster them. Either way, she would have to talk to Lucia later. For now, she just had to go and use Blizzard against the squeaky man.
All of the orbs were destroyed. Within the church, Laxus had been beaten down. The group was successful beyond everyone's expectations. Some of these unknown people were accepted by the guild as true comrades. The festival was going to be able to continue under way. The group was sent back to the guild to speak with Makrov. "Thank you for protecting my children. You have all earned your right to even join my guild. But, I have a feeling that there is something more to your appearance here. I know of the orb you are seeking to protect. Don't worry. It is safe. Please, stay and enjoy the festival for a little bit longer before leaving. I apologize for my grandson's acts against you all. He has been removed from the guild permanently." Makrov appeared to have a tear in his eye after that last statement. He sucked the emotions up and continued on with the festival alongside the guild. Dawn was about to attack. However, she heard something strange. It was a beat, a heart beat. She was confused since it wasn't her heart. It was coming from above. She looked at Thomas and then noticed a jar of dirt. After mentioning rum, and singing a song, she could see something red in the jar. It was beating, moving the sand. Her eyes grew larger as she just realized what was in the jar of dirt. She looked over to the enemy and bag to the jar. Could it be connected? She shook her head. She proceeded to write a note and turned it into a paper airplane, perfectly throwing it up to Thomas. < I don't want you to be alarmed, but I think there is a living heart inside that jar. > She then decided to attack with aero against the plastic man who might not have had a heart in the jar.
Astedia: Forbidden Forest So they flew to a dark forest. That was apparently a place that people should avoid right? If she looked at a map it probably would be said do not enter. It was no matter however. Once she looked around, she could only see visions of her past. The visions of being locked away for days in a pitch black room. She'd try and yell, but nothing would happen. It sometimes almost killed her until her family realized where she was. They loved her because there was always the look of panic then relief as soon as she was found. Dawn tried to swallow her fear and move forward. Eventually, the group fell through tree trunks only to find themselves lost from one another. Dawn was used to being alone, but the fact that she was alone in a dark forest just intensified her fear causing her to shake. The girl fell into a ball, her hands covering her head, trying to suppress the memories she held. She attempted to think of the happier times. The times where it was bright and full of love and life. In the distance, Dawn could hear the sounds of Amika and another fellow. She knew something was wrong when she heard the struggling. She was afraid, but she had to help Amika. She couldn't allow her own terrors to swallow her up. The girl stood and ran over to where Amika was as well as a man in blue. She wasn't going to even bother writing anything. This man clearly had trapped them and was an enemy. The darkness of the forest itself had those who were evil and in order to save Amika, Dawn would have to battle. Dawn readied her weapon and was ready for combat.
They were all blinded. The darkness had them all, an thus they were worthless as well. They spoke to him as if he was a criminal, as if he were wrong. They could not see justice for what it was. Light and only light was all there needed to be. Darkness was simply an opposite that needed to be destroyed. The only reason he aloud them to live was because of their involvement with this hero. They could lead him to that individual quicker than he could by himself. Most of them were just tools, except for the one girl. She was perfectly full of light and worthy of his new world; a world filled with pure light! Now there was just the matter of the events that had occurred. The one who was so perfect had stabbed him, or so she thought. "My my, a beautiful woman filled with light like yourself should know that she doesn't belong with those fools. I guess I can forgive you. You are a purest of light." Another thing decided to try to grab his body and slam him to the wall. It sounded angry, but the body it slammed to the wall had faded away, an illusion was in the work. In fact, they all were under his spell. He had no desire in harming them, yet. "Now for the rest of you, you should feel honored that I have spared you this far and continue to do so." His voice came from an unknown source. Unless someone could see his heart, it would be an unknown location. "You are only alive because I need you to lead me to the hero. If he truly is a hero, he will be infused with light, but if any amount of darkness is within him, I shall crush him." "You all believe what I do is injustice. Of course you do. I pity you all since you are filled and lied to by your own hearts. If only it were possible to rid the darkness all together from a person's heart. I've read that it can never be done. the closest to achieve anything close was a boy named Riku. Never could he complete such a task however." Crybex began to play with them, letting the illusions take shape. In front of the group, every person that Crybex killed were brought back through an illusion. "See, none of them are harmed. They are all just fine. But take a closer look." He shun light upon a small boy and an old man. The boy ran into the old man on accident, or so it seemed. After being helped up, the boy hid the old man's pocket watch and wallet, pretending to be innocent. "That is only one case of many that were within that crowd." He let the illusion literally melt away, the cries of suffering sounding real. "As you can see, darkness was within his heart. But that old man's as well. His heart was filled with lust and greed. He too deserved death. Give these dwellers of darkness too much power and they will experience endless suffering. As wonderful as the idea is, I cannot allow it in my new world. Eventually they would all destroy one another like the demons they are!" He aloud the illusions to all begin to kill one another until none were left and only a pile of corpses remained. But he knew these dwellers of darkness were never going to understand. They would never know true justice. He then had a thought. He recalled moments before this different world about Hunter. He claimed to have supernatural powers. Perhaps he could explain to them what true justice was. What darkness truly held against one's heart. He figured he would try it. "Perhaps another could prove to you what true justice entails. I summon thee, Hunter."
A pity it was to hear Vex decline his offer. How badly he wanted a new playmate to share an evening with. Nothing could be done about such matters though. He was ready to attack until he felt something jab into his side. He looked over at the girl. His face instantly turned to disgust as he was the creature that attempted to stab him. "Another filthy woman trying to take a stab at me. I have no room for your kind darling." He said as the knife hit his clothes, only acting like it were made of rubber. "I will admit though, I enjoy the sensation you grant me. The tingling from that brute of a man is quite intoxicating as well. He is the generator that just turned this light on." He grabbed Xera by the neck and began to squeeze her rightly. "So, handsome, how about you come with me now?" He gave a lash from his whip onto Xera's leg. Before he could go any further, a dagger was thrown over at his hand, forcing the whip to leave. Precious looked over to see a man in blue. "Another specimen. Oh and he is even more gorgeous than the last. I must ask you to leave though. Unless you can provide a good enough reason to say other-" Before he could finish his phrase, the magic he cast, in fact all the magic around just stopped, his hand losing its tight grip on Zera. "What did you just do!" Eldridge walked in. He figured things were rough. Earlier while walking to the bar he heard people running saying something about the commandant threatening somebody of being a rebel, the leader in fact. He had heard rumors before of such a case but never took much liking to the idea of needless conflict. "I quite apologize for ruining your little game of combat. However, I come to clear something up. You are fighting an impostor!" He pointed over to Vex. He was just acting in the heat of the moment. "I am the leader of the rebel alliance. I shall not allow such scum to take my name and cause needless violence with such title. I only wish for peace." Precious looked at him with confusion. He just openly admitted to it? The fool. "Very well. You are coming in for conspiring against the royal throne." He looked back to Vex and winked before blowing a kiss and tossing a small bag of money. He tossed another bag to the bartender. "Well handsome, that should pay for the trouble I caused you. The bag to you bartender is the royal army funds that should assist you in repairs. Tootles!" Eldridge and Precious left the bar, handcuffs going around Eldridge's wrists. He knew he lied, but it was only to create peace and end a conflict. If there truly was a rebellion, it looks like he may have accidentally joined. "Oh, sir commandant, the girl over there, she is with me. I am her caretaker." "Is she also a rebel scum like yourself?" "Negative. I was taking care of her as a favor. Zita, I apologize, I took longer than expected. We are being escorted to the castle now." Eldridge smiled to end her worries if she had any. "Commandant," he whispered, "The girl is dangerous by herself. Please keep her with me or the events that transpire could be catastrophic." "Wut did you say Eldwidge? Is the funny man pwaying powice with you?" "That is right, Zita. We are playing a little game." "I will not allow you two to be together. I can only assume you are lying and using her as bait. I will introduce her to the princess. I'm more than certain the girl is longing for a playmate. Besides, I have to look good in front of the royal family. The girl looks of a high class so surely she'll do just fine among them royals. Now pretty boy, I'll play along for her sake, but you are going to have a rough time." Precious turned to the little girl. "How would you like to meet princess Thea. She's around you age." "A pwincess! That would be so amazing. Thanks mister powiceman!" Zita happily followed along behind the two, only believing this to be a friendly game. Little did she know. Meanwhile Eldridge was breathing heavy trying to figure out a way to break free. He couldn't let Zita leave his side. The girl had no control
The battle was heavy as troops were falling one by one. Whether it were from Thantos or Ares or any other Empire scum, the result was fatal. Olvia watched as she ran around the courtyard, her agility proving to be keen in this fight. Her knives were being thrown, avoiding the Union and piercing through the Empire troops. Things would have been okay if the commanders never showed. They could win this fight, but now that the four of them appeared, it was a fool's battle to remain. "Eun, I know it would be smart to flee, but we need to help some of the troops get out of here. I'll keep living, I promise." The girl seemed like she was talking to herself, but in reality, there was the fox within her, resting in her soul and body. "I know you will live. Your allies will protect you. Just be careful." The fox spoke within Olvia's mental chamber. Olivia through knives onto oncoming soldiers, allowing extra defense on the road to escape. She wouldn't attempt to fight the commanders though. Next she could see a man with white hair, he about to be attacked by one of them. She through the knife into the opposing shoulder forehead. "Let's go! You can't just stand here and fi-" Before she could finish her statement, lightning had struck the castle where she stood. If it were any closer, she would have been fried. Olivia fell onto the ground as she could see 3 enemies coming at her. She was unable to react in time. However, that same man with shining white hair jumped in and defended her. "I apologize for continuing to fight. You were right to call out." His flesh was unscathed from the soldiers attacks. In fact, not only was he unhurt, their swords all snapped from hitting him. They all looked at him in shock and terror. He punched them all in the back of the heads to knock them out. "Let's go!" He held his hand to her as she took it and they both ran. "I'll defend you, get back into the castle and find the goddess. We need to escape this battle before we all lose our necks!" He commanded towards the girl. She only looked at him in aw, but soon she understood and leaped over to the castle, her white tails blowing across his face. "Good. Now for these guys... Man I wish Lion wasn't taking a cat nap right now. Could really use his," He punched a few soldiers as they all tried to attack him, forcing them unconscious, "help right now. Why must he be opposed to this war!" He continued to aid people getting into the castle, however, he could see Ares coming that way, almost looking to shed his blood. That was a sign to get out of here. He might have the ultimate defense, but his armor wouldn't be able to withstand the power of a god. He ran into the castle, meeting up with Olivia. "We need to find the goddess." "I know. I have a strange feeling though. I cant sense her presence anywhere, her sent is covered by ash as well." "Let's follow that gate keeper. I'm sure he knows something." He spoke running over to Iota in hopes to find a lead to the goddess and a strategy to leave this place.
They had arrived back at the Connected Land. It was only them however. Nobody else was here which means the other batch of people were still out on their mission. Star leaned against one of the trees as she listened to Zephine's awkward excitement. Now that the world was somewhat safer, Star had no intentions of grouping up. "Yay." She said without much emphasis in her voice. "The only thing we can do is wait. I guess you could go train in the back or relax. Twiddle your thumbs for all I care. I'm going to do some searching around this manor. I don't know why but I feel something is out of place and we aren't being told everything. I'm sure Styme is hiding some secrets." She walked over to the entrance of the manner. "Besides, if I don't go, I'm going to have to smack the idiot over there." She glanced over to Hunter and then walked off on her own. If someone followed, she didn't really care. She looked through the manner, finding nothing really out of normal. There were rooms for them to sleep, a nice sized kitchen, a meeting hall, even another peaceful garden. The only thing she couldn't find was Styme himself.
