Asked around both on-site and through other means, unfortunately no leads so far on my end. The fundamental problem for using Comic Sans with the aforementioned is, among other various degrees of aesthetic sensibility, its perpetuated usage in inappropriate settings. It is a nice feature of Comic Sans, but you can easily achieve that affect with other typefaces such as a variation on Frutiger sans-serifs (or Garamond/Palatino inspired ones if you really want to use serifs for print reading, which honestly I would not consider as much if reading accessibility is strictly the issue).
