Kross quietly listened to Fang, the momentary pause made him tense up. Fang was their only shot to catch up to Mcleach. Though when she offered her hand, he breathed out a tiny sigh of relief and was last to leap on, letting the two girls on first before he settled himself on her shoulder beside Yana. "Yeah, we can do this, I just hope no one's scared of heights" He teased, grinning brightly."I'm ready when you guys are!"
Kross only observed until the vehicle was gone. He glared after the man in the truck, that wasn't nice of him to leave his friend behind like that. He followed behind the others and looked up at the woman. "That wasn't very nice of him."He said in her direction, voice soft. As true as it was that he didn't trust the woman, he sympathized with her, it looked like she had something she needed to do. Which gave him an idea."If you can help us catch up to him, we can help you take care of him."
Kross hid further, observing as the scene unfolded before him. It looked like the fiend released his hostage early. He pressed his back up, something didn't quite add up here..His brown eyes turned towards the woman, slowly shaking his head at Jake's words, he didn't have an inkling as to who that woman was, but he had a slight idea."I think I need to have a talk with that woman, over there."He pointed to Fang."She seems uncertain, and if I can convince her to help us somehow..maybe we could piece this together?"
Kross took a moment to peer up at their destination, tensing up. It looked like they had located the source of all of this trouble, and normally it would be easy, but he could feel something was off, something evil radiating from that very facility."..I think we need to use stealth, we can't alert this guy of our presence until we get the child to safety, from there..I'm not sure how we'll go about doing this."He got off and surveyed his surroundings, seems stealth would be a good option, at least until the rescuee was safely out of harm's way.
Kross looked around and shifted on the Wombat a bit, trying to get comfortable. He looked up when Jake showed the picture of their target. The man didn't look so tough, most likely relying on others than getting his hands dirty. Unless the enemy had something to do with this, than this little 'job' would not be as simple as it looked. The heartless were noticeably getting stronger each time the warriors got stronger and it made him wary. He quickly held the fur once the wombat got moving, breathing in at the sudden jerking feeling."Wow, this thing is fast, do you think we'll be able to reach this guy in time?"He asked Jake.
Kross took a second or two to get his wind back, He stabbed the tip of his keyblade into the ground and took a momentary breather, glancing up as Yana addressed him and smiled." Yeah, thanks Yana, I just feel winded."He said softly. He picked up the bags and made his way to the wombat, seeing Karina get on. Though he would wait until Yana got on as well before he attempted anything. Maybe the time could give him a moment or two to breathe, the battle would have gone better if the wound on his back didn't impede him so much.
After Kross had cast his time based spell, he quickly went to work attacking the Heartless that were frozen in time, they were going to feel it when the effects wore off anyway. He strafed back and held his keyblade. Though there were pulses of pain on his back, he'd walk it off. For now, he had to concentrate on the battle at hand. His allies were fighting, so why shouldn't he? He looked at them."Watch your step!"He said, raising his keyblade up. The air grew heavy as lightning came from the sky and struck the heartless around him, causing them to vibrate violently before popping into darkness."Thunder!"He shouted the spell, feeling his own hair raise a bit from the close contact of nature's most powerful weapon.
Kross slightly struggled, trying to at least get back to his feet while the other two fought with him. He nodded once to Karina's question."Sorry..it caught me off guard."He said."I'm just winded"He said, finally getting to his feet and pulled his keyblade from the ground. He breathed out slowly to loosen himself and then stood with his stance wide, pointing his keyblade out at the drills."Stop!"He exclaimed, freezing the few that were closing in with clock symbols over their heads. He mostly did this to give the two breathing room so they could attack however they liked.
It looked like the numbers were slowly, but surely declining, and that was a good thing, considering that the battle was tiring him out. Slashes here, spells there and more physical attacking, it was a whirlwind of carnage. The two women he was with had their impressive strengths but apparently they liked to fight alone, which he did not approve of. A team was a team, even in battle. Unaware that one of the dogs remaining was behind him. He looked around until he felt a searing pain on his back, making his vision go momentarily white. He turned and swung, thwacking the dog and sent it back, blood dribbling from his back where two slash marks were apparent. He dropped to one knee, putting his blade into the ground and reeling in pain.
Kross heard the panicked gasp of the male mouse and he immediately glanced around. The creatures of the dark appeared, their symbols hauntingly familiar to him."This is the third world I've been to..is there any world they have not attacked?"He said, setting down the bags turned, his back in the direction of Yana's in case she needed someone to watch her back. He hated exposing himself like this, but he barely had a choice. It was now or never. He was not going to let this place sink into the burning darkness. Light surrounded his right hand and the light speared off, shattering to reveal his primary weapon, the Keyblade Twitterpated. He held it behind him, standing with legs straight, feet pointed outwards and a palm out. Then he threw himself into the fray, slashing any heartless that his keyblade could reach, trying to inflict as much damage on their numbers as he could.
Kross contented himself to watching the scene unfold. He was innocent, but definitely not clueless, he was sure the fellow male was trying his hand at flirting. He caught the bag handed to him, only watching as the mouse described the perils they would be soon face. A smile was on his face before he looked at Yana, a slight incline of his head showed that he was more than ready."Yeah, it can't be THAT bad. All we gotta do is reach this Poacher and stop him from doing any more harm, should be an easy task."He trailed off, practically gushing confidence. After all, he was trained to handle situations like this. He walked up to the male and nodded to him."I'll follow you."
Kross sighed with relief, seemed like their anonymity was still intact somewhat, he was very glad of that. When the mouse described his predicament, Kross quietly listened and nodded to show he was paying attention. As the mouse tossed the bags to him, he caught them. Being reduced to a pack mule was degrading, but any experienced field expert would know to keep their expertise under wraps. He was pretty much the experienced one in this group. He lifted up the bags and grinned."Don't worry about us sir, I think we can handle ourselves. If you'd lead the way, We can follow"He said. Karina's confidence was very admirable. He'd follow the leader, it seemed a lot more appealing than just standing around and doing nothing.
Kross was just about to answer when another came up, addressing the women but not him. He tilted his head at this, was he the same color as the background and the other male didn't see him? He looked at Karina and winced a bit when she answered the mouse."..."He sighed."Master Yen Sid said not to do that.."He turned to the male."What these two are asking..um..would you mind showing us around? We're kind of new here."He said."To Australia. It seems like a nice place."
Kross turned to Yana and bowed his head, greeting her."Nice to meet you, I think we'll get along fine.."He said, brown eyes wide and his smile bright. He then looked at Karina and nodded twice."Yeah, That would be nice but I have no idea where we are or how we came to be here..but if we seal the key hole here, we can get home."He said to them, walking up to Karina."I'll follow your lead, you have a good head on your shoulders it seems."
A brown colored mouse with black back and a white belly came scurrying up to the two girls."Karina! Man, am I glad to see my allies!"The mouse said, jumping for joy."It's me, Kross"He said, smiling brightly."I'm more than wondering why the Land of Departure isn't safe."He said, trotting up to them. He looked at the other female, tilting his head."New friend?"He asked Karina.

Kross breathed in and smiled to Karina."Not better, I had to give it my all too."He said to her. He then saw someone come up to him, blinking when the man got angry."No I didn't, I was doing battle with Karina."He said, turning to him."..Why are you angry at me? It's not like I wouldn't have healed her anyway. Could you guide me to her?"He said, his keyblade at his side. He could cure Luna, it wasn't powerful but it would help her recover.
Kross swung after two more and clashed blades with her, pushing against and sensed her sword hand starting to slack a bit. He paused and slowly stepped back, his blade lowered to his side and his light brown eyes stared at her for a moment. He sighed and put his hand to the back of his head, thinking for a moment, how would he handle this? He then turned to look at her."Break?"He asked her.
Kross held his stance, eyes sharp."All right then, in that case, I'll not hold back."He announced to her, charging and slid, swinging from side to side in a series of slashes that gradually got faster every few strokes.
