OOC: Really sorry about the delay, had to get some things straightened out first. Ok so this character will probably only appear once or twice (including right now) I know it’s godmodding a little but it’s just this once, just so we can start heading into the next part. Quiet and reserved but is respected by everyone, he is the Kings right hand man. Bio/History: Benjamin’s older brother. His father sold him to King Edward when he was small and Benjamin came along with him to the castle. There he went through extremley intense training with the King and is now one of the most powerful Dermas in the country. Master (if already found): King Edward Class (Spiritual Power): Special, he uses mostly Psychic, Aggressive powers to actually control the musicles in a persons body. He can’t make them move around, but he can tense up the muscles to make them freeze in their places. And he can release the muscles to make them go limp. At first he was able to just do this to one or two people at a time. But after the training he went through with the King he is now able to do it with large crowds of up to 100 people. Imperfection: Unlike normal people who lose energy and then regain it back after resting, William loses energy slowly, so while other people would be tired after hiking a mountain he wouldn’t. But sooner or later his energy is going to run out, and he will never regain it back. Weapon: Broad Sword Weapon Power (Optional): The broadsword is what gives him his psychic powers Special Skills (Optional): Along with his psychic powers he's also well trained with a sword. Other: n/a BIC: Ben unsheathed his sword and quickly lashed out at Cailen ready to strike him down when all of a sudden he couldn't move. No one could move. Everyone within the destroyed area had frozen. "Sh**." He mumbled knowing exactly what was going on. "That's quite enough!" A very loud and deep voice rang throughout the area. On top of the only building that had survived the destruction a man, who could have been Benjamin's twin stood looking down upon the group, his hair and cape blowing softly in the wind. He lept down from the high building. A fall that would have klled any human if they had tried, but he landed softly and gracefully on the cool, stone ground. The man walked casually over to the five who were in the middle of the fighting, Matt, Cailen, Ben, Jane, and Maria. "Once again I have to save your petty little a**." He said circling Ben once. "You've really done it this time, look at this place. His majesty is not happy. Oh! And look at this!" He said, almost tripping over Jane who was on the ground from when Cailen had kicked her. "Your pathetic little derma is just laying on the ground. That's where she belongs anyway." He said, looking down at her with his head held high. "Well His Majesty is fed up with this, it's going to cost him money to fix all of these buildings. And he’s very dissapointed in you Benjamin." He said with a small cocky smile. “Arrest the two Dermas!†He shouted to the small pack of soldiers that had gathered close by. They looked at him wearily, they knew that Derma's were incredibly powerful. "Don't worry, they can't do anything about it right now. Get them out of here to be interrogated." Clara was working to save a man when her body suddenly stopped moving, she couldn't control her own body, it wouldn't move. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a man circling Benjamin, talking to him, she couldn't really hear what he was saying but when he finished she did hear the word interrogated, but she didn’t know that it was only for Matt and Cailen, not for the whole group. Her eyes widened in horror. No! She wasn't going to go through that again! She had to move her body! She had to get out, get away! She tried, and tried but she could not move her own limbs, nothing worked. William could feel when someone was trying to break his seal. Most everyone was trying, but when he said the word interrogated one person faught the hardest to get out. He gaze landed upon Clara, who was still struggling to get away. He casually walked up to her, his gaze never leaving her.
Jane dodged the fire ball and when he was close enough swung her scythe at him, it glinting in the sunlight as she swung it with all of her might. Ben looked over at the girl and saw the barrel of water. She had a good idea. Quickly he helped her lift it.
Jane didn't reply, she just charged forward, she knew that he could burn through her ribbons so she could use them, she would just have to defeat him using her scythe. Ben watched her charge forward, he knew that she wouldn't win in close hand to hand combat, he was still training her. His mind raced trying to figure out a way to help her.
Jane's focus left Matt and and let go of her grip on the web and flash stepped in front of Ben, her scythe at the ready. She listened to the fire ball crackle in his hand she couldn't see the creepy look on his face so she wasn't afraid, but she was tired. Her breathing was heavy, it had taken a lot of energy to make such a large web of ribbons. "You shall not harm my master as long as I'm alive." She said her face determined Ben looked at Jane and noticed her heavy breathing. He had to get him to go quietly. "I advise you to give up, you will not win." Clara nodded to Drake and continued onto the next person.
"Exactly. You may either go quietly or we'll take you by force." Ben said as he continued to walk closer, he was fed up with this destruction, considering it was him who was going to get in trouble by the king and you could see his frustration on his face. Clara did as he said and closed her eyes and turned her head away as he did the deed. The woman screamed in agony, before passing out from shock. Clara quickly wrapped the shoulder with the cloth applieing pressure. Blood seeped through and she ripped off more of her dress, she was running out of cloth, and continued wrapping. She looked around at the destruction and the many, many casualties as more and more buildings collapsed. There was no way she would be able to do it all by herself.
"By the order of King Edward, you're under arrest for the destruction of...well the city." Benjamin said walking casually up to Cailen. Jane couldn't believe that he had burned through her ribbons. But she continued to pull on them to keep Matt down, and watched Ben and Cailen carefully making sure he didn't attack Ben. Clara looked up at him and nodded. She turned to the woman and bent down next to her. Quickly she pulled up her hair, to get it out of her face and rolled up her sleeves. Then examined the arm. There was no choice but to amputate, it was completley crushed. "Drake...I'm going to need your sword." She said to him softly. She had never done and amputation, but she had seen it done before and was pretty sure how to do it, she just wasn't sure her stomach was going to be able to take it.
Clara smiled at him. "Thank you." She said. Suddenly another piece of building collapsed farther away making a loud boom that rumbled the ground. The sound brought Clara back to what was going on. Without another word she hurried to the next person who was injured, she had never been in a war zone before so she wasn't used to seeing so much blood and gore. When she worked at the Inn as a nurse back in Towaira she had just treated normal everyday sicknesses, but this was a little out of her league. The woman here had her arm crushed under a rock and was just lying there in pain. First Clara tried to push the rock off of her arm, but she wasn't strong enough.
Clara stepped back and nodded, smiling. "Of course, you've been very kind to me. You even saved my life."
Clara stepped closer and hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry that that happened to you, that one boy hurt you so bad, and that you think that everyone is like that. But there are so many people who are kind, and willing to help other, including you." She said to him, still not looking up.
Clara continued to hold onto his arm. "I'm sorry.....I'm so sorry. They must be horrible memories, it must hurt a lot." She said softly, looking at the ground.
Clara saw him clutch his head, for some reason she instantly thought that it was her fault. Quickly she ran up to him and grabbed his arm gently, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you, I..I don't know what I was thinking." She pleaded.
Clara walked over to the next person, it was a woman, who was obviously dying, she had hit her head on a rock, hard and was bleeding badly, her small child lay next to her, already dead. She stared at them for a few moments, speechless, then turned her head away staring at the ground, before turning to Drake. "I don't need to gain anything when I can help prevent things like this from happening!" She yelled at him. The anger in her face subsided as she looked at Drake. Clara felt bad for yelling at him afterwards, it wasn't like her to yell, and she wasn't mad at him, she was mad that this had happened.
"Neither will you, why did you come?" Clara asked softly, her voice was starting to return. The man laying next to her moaned again and she turned her attention to him, finishing wrapping his leg and helping him to sit up. "Just stay here and rest, I have to tend to others." Clara said softly to him, and stood up next to Drake.
Clara saw the rubble coming at her, knowing she couldn't do anything to save herself she curled up around the man, closed her eyes and prepared for the impact. When it never came she opened her eyes to see Drake standing there. She just stared at him, surprise filled her eyes. "T...t...thank you." She whispered, she had been sure that she was going to die, she could barely speak. She had never really been in the middle of a battle zone before.
Ben looked at everyone behind him then focused on Maria, he could tell that she wasn't a Derma, so he didn't want to put her right in the middle of the battle. Looking around at all of the people who were running away as buildings were collapsing. "You there miss. I need you to start helping people get out of here, and you," he said to Clara, "Start helping the wounded." Then he put his hand on Jane. He knew that she was tired, she still hadn't gotten rest from her last battle, but he didn't want to have to face the King if this battle didn't settle down. "Ready?" Jane nodded, she was tired, but Ben had (sort of) asked her to get in there, she heard the buildings and the fighting and she knew that she wouldn't be able to just jump in the middle of the battle, so she would try something else. With a quick swing of her arm she summoned her scythe and used a flash step to get closer to the two fighting. She sewed a ribbon into the ground then continued to flash step in circles around the two as they faught. Everytime she stopped she sewed another ribbon into the ground. Until she had a huge round web hanging over them. Then with a huge dash she pulled on the strings, making them appear out of thin air and crash down ontop of the two. Clara ran to the first person who was laying on the ground bleeding and moaning. She hadn't brought any medical supplies but the man was bleeding from his leg that had been crushed by a piece that had fallen from one of the many buildings that had collapsed. "It's ok, I'm here to help you, try to control your breathing, you'll make it I promise." Clara said very softly, trying to calm him down as she ripped a piece of cloth from her bottom of her dress and wrapped it around the mans leg. More buildings where falling around her, and large peices were falling close by to make her feel a little uneasy about where she was standing.
OOC: Sorry guys i have a friend over so I might be posting really slow BIC: Ben and Jane approached the battle, luckily it wasn't with the same guy that they had faught before. "What shall we do master?" Jane asked. "Wait a few moments. Lets figure out when to go in." Ben replied. Annabel stood behind Ben waiting for orders. Her foot was killing her but she tried to put it out of her mind. "Miss.....miss....excuse me miss. But please you really shouldn't fight in your condition." Clara pleaded with the girl with the broken foot.
Ben kept glancing at Jane, trying to tell by her expression if she was ok with going into battle again, not that she'd actually show her fear in front of him. "Are you O.K. with this?" He asked her. "If this is what you wish than I shall abide." Jane said in a monotone as they hurried towards the city square. Annabel was far behind Benjamin and the other girl, but she could still see them up ahead. Taking out her sword she was ready to get back at that Derma that had insulted her before. The determination in her face was evident. Clara walked behind Annabel, by the look in her face she was really concentrating on something, and she didn't look like someone who would be very friendly at a time like this. So she didn't speak to her, but she did keep track of her foot and her motions, trying to figure out a quick way to take care of it when she finnaly stopped.
"Fine." Ben said to Drake. As he headed out the door, Jane followed close behind him. He didn't really want to go into battle again either, especially if it was the same person they had fought early before, but if they were making a huge disruption in he city square he had to try to stop it. "There's no way I'm staying here while you all fight." Annabel said as she headed out the door, now that she had backup she didn't care about her foot. Clara ran after Annabel, just by glancing at her foot she could tell it was broken, this woman could not fight, especially two Dermas. But as she chased after her she thought that she could probably help her while they were there, and she could also help the injured people that had gotten caught up in the fighting.
Annabel quickly ran (more like hobbled) away, looking for someone who could help break up the fight since she wasn't able to at the moment. She remembered the other woman soldier and that she had gone to the inn down the street, so that's where she headed. Once she got there she burst through the door, causing people to look at her, which she didn't mind. Both Benjamin and Jane turned their heads to the person who had burst through the door, and Benjamin recognized her from somewhere, he couldn't remember her name, but he knew that he had seen her before. Clara stopped at the bottom of the stairs and turned toward the person who had slammed the door. Annabel instantly recognized Captain Benjamin, he had been Head Commander for the final attack on Titiania, her very small squad (along with about 10 others) had been under him. "Captain Benjamin! It's good to see you again sir." She said bowing her head, "I hate to bother you, but there is a battle between two derma's in the city square. They're destroying everything, and they seem a little bit stronger than normal Dermas." She said. Benjamin nodded. "Alright, you there Miss," He said calling to Clara, "Please tend to her foot, Drake if you don't mind I'd like you to come with me, and you too Miss." He said to Maria and Drake. His leadership skills kicking in. He kind of missed giving orders.
