She blinked a couple times, coming out of her daze. Looking down suddenly in embarrassment for staring she muttered, "No...it's just been a while since I have." Mizuki clutched the book that she held to her chest tighter.
Her earring flew off into the grass when she bumped into a strange man, "Oh man, I'm so sorry!" She said as she quickly got down on her hands and knees and started searching for it.
Mizuki just stared there in shock watching the man. She hadn't seen a full transformation since she was a really little girl. It had been so long since she had smelled a full werewolf and been around one. The killing wasn't the thing that made her stare, it was the fact that she had seen one of her own kind.
It wasn't until Erica got to the park where there was a clock that she noticed what time it was. "S***." She muttered as she began to race through the park, trying to put on her earings and necklace while sprinting.
Anna sneered at Matt. "Immature little...." She muttered as she also went off, in the opposite direction of Matt to look for food. Clara looked over at Drake. "Oh...um a little I guess.... but you should eat first, you were training all last night, you must be way hungrier than I am."
Erika wiped the sweat from her forehead as she lifted her head out of the hood of the truck she had been working on in the shop she worked at part time. When she wiped her head she left a small grease mark there. "This one should be good!" She shouted over the sounds of tools being used and closed the hood. Three guys all in their twenties also looked up from their work and smiled at her. "Leaving already?" One of them asked. "Yeah I promised I'd go out with the girls tonight." Pulling down her hair and shaking it around she noticed all of them smile. "What's so funny? Do I have something on my face?" She asked lightly touching her face, until she found the grease spot and rubbed it off her forehead with a dirty cloth that she had used to wipe her hands on. Chucking it at the nearest guy she laughed and picked up her bags heading out the door.
Mizuki took a step away, getting ready to make a run for it. Everything was telling her to run, to just get out of there. That this guy could handle himself, he was a werewolf after all. But then a little something, she didn't know what, maybe it was her own werewolf instinct was telling her to stay and help, but she didn't know what to do to help this man. She had never fought in her life, she was kicked out of her own pack for being too weak. There was nothing she could do.

"Mmmhmm....How about you? Did you sleep well?" Clara asked slowly standing up, though she was a little wobbly, her legs were still sore from riding all day yesterday. Ben was half awake when Matt fell out of the tree. That woke him right up. Yanking out his sword that lay next to him on the ground he shot up onto his feet, still a little asleep. "What time is it?" He asked in a groggy yet alarmed voice, as if he was late for something. His sword was up close to his face in a fighting position. "Our pursuers are about four hours ahead of us. I heard them go by last night." Jane said softly, as she walked up to Ben and gently laid her hand on the blade of his sword and lowered is slowly. "They should be far enough ahead of us for us to continue on whenever you like." Annabel also shot awake when Matt fell out of the tree, but unlike Ben she wasn't groggy. "AH HA!!!" She chuckled loudly at the sight of Matt.
Clara slowly started to open her eyes. The sun was bright, she wondered what time it was. "Ugh....uhh.... oh!" She said as she noticed Jane and Drake talking. "Good morning guys." She said with a friendly smile as she rubbed her eyes. "That's how it goes...." Jane mumbled, as she turned back towards Ben who was also waking, completely ignoring Clara.
She closed her eyes with a small grin on her face. "She is a kind girl. And lucky to have a powerful Derma to protect her, even when you haven't signed a contract.....that, is unusual....." Suddenly Clara stirred in her sleep and started to wake up. Jane's eyes flickered over to Clara for milisecond before once again resting in front of her. "Not many derma's get attached before a contract is signed....."
Jane's eyes started to wonder as if she was thinking. Then she slowly pushed herself up, as if it took a lot of energy to do so. Even standing she was short she wouldn't have even made it to Drake or Benjamin's shoulders. "May I ask you a question?" Her eyes settled straight in front of her as usual. "Why do you protect that girl?"
Jane heard Drake come back, and lean against a tree. "I'd like to thank you for being so peaceful about the situation. My master is really a good person, I hope that you do not look down on him." She said in a very soft almost whisper, she did not look at Drake when she talked to him, she just stared far off into the woods ahead of her.
Jane woke shortly after Drake did. She never really "slept" it was always an incredibly light sleep so that if anything happened in the middle of the night she could protect Ben. She sat with her back against the tree with her eyes closed listening to Benjamin's soft breath as he slept peacefully. It comforted her that he could now sleep tranquilly with her nearby. When they had first met he slept a lot like she did now, never really getting to dream or really fall asleep, he was always alert. Even after they signed the contract he didn't fully trust her ability to be vigilant but now he slept deeply and without reservation. Jane could easily hear everyone elses breath except Drake's who she had also heard left.
"No problem." Clara whispered as she too fell asleep. Anna, Ben and Jane all slowly fell asleep.
"Oh.. um.. yeah.... thanks, you should too, you must be tired after training."
"Did you just threaten the Captain?" You could see the anger in his face, though he tried to cover it. "Leave it Anna! Didn't I just say I don't want any trouble?" Even Jane was hot on her toes, what Matt had said meant that he could snap and attack Ben at any time. It was only Anna who was "keeping him alive" though she would kill him way before he could even get close to Ben.
"That's quite enough." Ben said from under the tree. Both him and Jane were standing up and watching Annabel and Matt. "Annabel, I don't want any trouble, do you understand?" He asked in a firm, almost fatherly tone. "Yes sir, I understand." She muttered, definitely defeated. Clara turned to him quickly, her face showed suprise and sympathy. "No you're not a freak of nature, none of you are. And I don't think that everyone thinks that..... I don't."
Mizuki's eyes grew wide with terror at the small, horned demon in front of her, and the strange man who had taken her wallet before, the man also looked different, his ears were pointer than they were before, and he even looked buffer, these things she knew most people wouldn't notice, but she did. Also his strange scent had gotten even stronger, "You're a werewolf." She stated blatantly, completely forgetting for a second about the demon.
