Yep, this has been a long time coming mostly because of school and work getting in the way. But thanks! Ori'vor'e, ner vod. Aside from the initial concept being revised a few times, this is the first actual physical build of my armor. Cutting the plates, modding the helmet, large scale painting/weathering - that was all a first. Aw thanks! I definitely will, no worries there. xD
Figured I might as well post what I've been working on. Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Fayt just left for his flight to the US so we'll be heading to Celebration VI in a few days. Even if I don't get approved as an official Mercs member in time, this is something I'm proud of since after nearly two and a half years of work it's finally at a completed stage. Once we're back expect lots of pictures, we're going all four days and are bound to see some cool stuff. Supposedly the Rebel Legion is going to have a huge Rancor on display at their booth so I can't wait to see what the Mercs and 501st have.

Finally finished this last night. Spoiler
Moved this to Traditional Art since after the work I've been doing this past two weeks...yeah, I'll let it speak for itself. Spoiler: armor Trimmed. Base coat of silver, followed by black, followed by red, then hand-applied charcoal. Knees - painted silver, glued fur on top. Spoiler: helmet Sanded all the paint down, took out the visor, glued halves together, reinforced the inside seam, used bondo to fill the gaps in the dome of the helmet, glued the earcaps on, replaced the rangefinder screw, cut out and replaced the visor, primed, base coat of silver, then black, red, blue, charcoal. Spoiler: blaster Don't have time (or ideas) to modify the bigger blaster, so I got a Hasbro Boba Fett EE-3 blaster from Target, cut the barrel off, removed the electronics, and used epoxy to glue a small coke bottle to it and reattach the scope. Then came a base of silver, black, and charcoal. Spoiler: full shots Images of some stuff all together. And I think that's all I have. Getting really close now, but I only have about ten days to get this done and get official...cutting it close, but I've made a hell of a lot of progress.
It's from a game called Journey, which is a beautiful game in it's own right. Definitely check it out if you can. As for the second one, I wasn't actually around to choose the images displayed here, but yes the final product of that was Maka's scythe from Soul Eater. But I have been extremely scarce around here lately. Main causes of this are work every day and then pushing on to get my armor done by Celebration VI, it's very time consuming (and absolutely exhausting). Additionally, I've been getting ready for Fayt to be here, and once work is over with my time will be split between costuming and cleaning the house. I might be on briefly every now and again but I probably won't be posting much - then after he's here I doubt I'll get on much at all. Especially since we'll be heading down to Florida on the 22nd for Celebration VI, I have no idea if our hotel room will have wifi at all. If not, we'll be back on the 29th. Once he goes home on the 1st I should be back fully. I'm excited and will be taking a lot of pictures mostly because sabby and star are making me and will have a full account of possibly overdosing on Star Wars. See you guys in a few weeks!

It was a lot of fun but I don't think I've ever stood in a line for that long in my life. xD Mike and I were among the very last people that were able to get the game, and when Misty's on I think she's going to upload a full account of the event. But man the game is great so far, I think you're all going to enjoy it!
