It seemed that people were starting to follow onto the bridge. he had faith that it would stay stable as long as the creator of the bridge didn't lose concentration. He wasn't worried though, he knew everything would be okay. He wasn't sure how or why, but he just knew. That was one thing about Ohm, he silently put his faith into anything with the assurance it would work. He set off, making the trek towards the end of the bridge. He wasn't being slow nor was he being cautious, just going at a stroll that anyone would do in a public park.
We'll all be waiting for you! Stah cool man! :)
If Ohm had not been snapped out of attention, he would have walked right off the cliff side. He stopped himself and looked down, the chasm was deep and the squirming white at the bottom unnerved him. He wordlessly looked to the side at Zavion as he summoned up a huge amount of darkness to make a makeshift bridge. Zephyr had doubts about the method, but Ohm held his sword tight in his hand and just stepped onto the bridge. No questions, no doubts, no concerns. He only wanted to get this over with quickly. He wanted to know if his sister was safe when they returned to the meeting place. The bridge felt sturdy, though the feeling around it made him a little nervous, but he wasn't about to let that stop him. He took a few steps on the bridge and then turned his head to look at the others, waving."Oyy!!" He called out, gesturing for them to get a move on.
It seemed that it was time for the long trek, and the longer adventure. Ohm was sure this could end either two ways, fruitful or fruitless and he was sure they would not find the 'hero' in this world. He didn't care about that though. Something else weighed on his mind, something, or someone who was worlds away, in god knows what and in possible danger. It was little to no secret that Ohm adored his little sister, loved her more than his own life and yet she was a headache towards him, running away and getting angry at him for wanting to be close to him. It weighed heavy on his heart. Maybe she didn't hate him but she wasn't even glad or relieved to see him either. He never tried to push things on her, he never lied to her, tried to hurt her or anything like that. He loved Anadi and nothing else mattered but her. He heard murmuring infront of him between Juliet and his acquaintance, but paid it no mind, even at Juliet's outbursts. He knew they were whispering, but he didn't care. He remained his usual silent self, trailing behind the group in an attempt to just mull over things alone.
"Right" Kross deadpanned as his reply to Beuce's comment. Though he couldn't help but let a smile tug at the corners of his lips. The 1000 heartless battle that could only be compared to the Kingdom Hearts 2 version was something he didn't wish to be reminded of. Damn behemoths.. He mentioned the Elemental Guardians and..that apprentice from before, Nequa was her name. His lips thinned, the girl was great at magic, rivaling Eclipse's and definitely besting his. He still had a long path ahead but he wouldn't give up, he wouldn't give in. Quitting was for the past. He wasn't going to do it. He heard something interesting too, that Beuce was searching for the guardians to use their power."You know better than anyone here that I'm not going to let you do this alone."He said, a tiny grin was on his face."I'd never abandon a friend in need and i'm very sure others here feel the very same way."He said. He stood with Beuce and watched him stretch. He was right, enough dallying around, heck, he felt like finding the mouse was top priority anyway. He was still reeling from the loss of his Master."For Master Yen Sid."He replied simply to Beuce's offer, nodding to him. He saw Beuce wave to somebody and he followed the wave, seeing Ananta across from them, staring at the--oh crap. His breath hitched as he hurried over, kneeling infront of Ananta and put a hand on her knee gently."Ananta, I'm sorry...I didn't mean to leave you so abruptly, it's..just that Beuce..he just looked like he needed someone to help cheer him up."
Beuce accepted the ice cream and Kross only grinned in response, taking a seat beside him and leaning forward a bit. He had his eyes on Beuce and waved a hand at his apology."Don't worry about that. Happens to me a lot. Besides, I'm more concerned about my friends's wellbeing and..well...you're in that club whether you know it or not." He said, yes, it looked like Kross was right. Both personal and Karin were bothering Beuce and this made Kross even more concerned. He leaned up and put a hand on Beuce's shoulder."I'm sorry about Karina, I really am. You're not the first to try to get a cheer out of her and you won't be the last. She has a lot of personal issues and I would be lying if I said I don't feel for her. As I've told Ananta, you shouldn't let what she says bother you. She's just wallowing in self pity."He said, but he was sure Beuce knew that already. Then came Beuce's life story. In all honesty, Kross didn't know that much about Beuce, they had never really taken the chance and really talked like this. It was nice to be able to listen to someone open up to him. it was better than being chewed out and shut out from trying to help someone, and Kross had encountered many of those. He'd keep helping others though, it was in his nature. The part about the war he participated in made Kross tense up. Pepper Island had never warred for as long as he remembered. The island was unified over 2000 years ago for pete's sake."I can't imagine what your life must have been like, I had never seen war, unlike you. I've lived in a millenia of peace. I guess that's why I'm so weak."He said, stroking his chin. Beuce's life was a long and combat-heavy one, it made Kross wonder if the guy longed for just a moment of peace, just a moment where he could rest and not have to fight. Kross longed for the same thing, he hated fighting. Even if he was trained to fight the unversed and the Heartless, his heart was never in it. He reached a put a hand to Beuce's upper back, looking at him."Do you ever regret it? I mean...coming with us? ...I know sometimes we can be a pain in the ass but..we mean well."He says, putting a finger up."Even Karina."He said before Beuce could even ask about her. He smiled at Beuce."You're a strange guy, you have wit, you have looks, and you're wicked strong. You're everything I'm not."He said and laughed, rubbing his forehead."Makes me jealous."
Ohm watched as Freya turned to regard him. He shook her hand twice and nodded his greeting, giving a tiny smile. Before she could introduce herself, however, it looked like her brother interrupted their musings. He nodded to Freya, understanding there were more important things for her to tend to. He wasn't one for conversation but the opportunity of making a lasting friendship appealed to him. He let her go so she could go with Zavion. He was quite sure he would run into her again anyway, He was just happy to help cheer up a soul. Lucifer wasn't exactly kind to her so she needed it. He watched her go through the portal of darkness and was about to go back to his sister before he heard her words. He tensed up, turning quickly to Anadi, a look of hurt was in his eyes and his eyebrows knitted together. Being called an annoyance was one thing but she had to bring up that he was useless and didn't have a keyblade. His head was downcast, he never said a word before looking up at her again, seeing her hurt look and he slowly shook his head, his eyes just slightly watery. He was hurt that Anadi wanted to be so distant from him, he loved his sister dearly but this...she spat in his face and had the gall to look at him, that hurt more than anything else. He looked away and clenched his fists, restrained anger boiled in his heart as he turned to the portal. It remained, so he took the leap of faith through, if his sister didn't want to see him, he would respect that. He was dropped into the castle, glancing around as he walked forward, hand on his hilt. He drew a sword, the blade glowing with white light. he was on guard, his father never mentioned this place and it was clear why, the place gave unsettled him, but he wasn't about to back out now. Not when he came this far. He walked up to Zavion and his sister, looking at the two before looking at the castle."Mm.."He murmured, brows knitted with worry.
Kross waited outside for Ananta, taking the opportunity to take the town in. It was a bright town, from what he could see. Mouse heads everywhere, it seemed to be a recurring theme for this place. Attractions were many, the candy shop, the ice cream shop, Fruitball Court and the racing track were just a few of many. His gaze settled onto a figure in the distance, it was Beuce. He was sitting alone on a bench, which surprised Kross. Beuce was usually quite social, given, the guy had a few screws loose but he was still well liked and he still found a way to cheer people up. It was also the chance to go and talk to him, but Ananta interrupted his thoughts. her words were encouraging but Kross couldn't help but feel down. It just seemed everyone here was in a bad mood. He looked at the sandwich he was given and placed it to his side, looking at Ananta."I'll be right back."He told her with a tiny smile. He knew exactly what to do. He went to the ice cream shop and bought some ice cream. He made his way over to where Beuce was sitting and stood infront of him, holding the ice cream out to him."On my island, it's bad luck to be seen with half-eaten food."He said, his expression was appraising, looking him over just slightly. beuce was down, and Kross could guess one of two reasons: Personal, or Karina."You look down, mind if we talk? It could help cheer you up."He said, sitting down beside Beuce and turned his head to look at him."What's on your mind?"He asked.
Kross's smile faded, just a little bit as Karina brushed him off, didn't acknowledge his existence, flat out ignored him. It stung, and it reminded him of the many tims his mother would just brush him off without a second thought. He didn't wince, he didn't flinch, he didn't even move. He could only stare with a distant haze in his eyes. He was then brought to attention as Beuce answered him. He looked at the man and nodded once, the man could lie all he wanted, but Kross picked up on his body language. He was only acting cool, Kross knew he hurt, but he didn't mind if Beuce lied about anything. It did kind of hurt seeing that two people he considered friends was shutting him out. "Beuce...I need to talk to you..I..."He paused in his words as Ananta walked over and invited him to join her in exploring. They had more important things to do than play games though, the sting of losing Master Yen Sid still emenated in his heart. He knitted his brows together as he looked at Ananta and looked at Beuce. He gave him a tiny encouraging smile before he hurried to follow Ananta. He trailed off behind her a bit but managed to catch up before speaking to her."What did you want to do around here?"He asked."There's a lot to do, so I can't really decide but..I haven't really been here before so..." This was awkward, what was he supposed to do? He didn't want to ruin Ananta's fun but..they still had things to do, couldn't she see that? He heaved out a mental sigh, this was going to be more difficult than he thought. He looked around. The many attractions were fascinating but finding one would do nicely.
Ohm blinked, Anadi had decided already? It surprised him when it shouldn't have. She always had that habit of diving headfirst into something without thinking. It surprised him, and then again, it was an endearing quality about her. Anadi was courageous if not reckless. While she converse with Jackie about their destination, Ohm took the opportunity to look around the room at the various allies he would be working with. There were a lot and he would be lying if he said he wasn't uncomfortable with the crowd but power in numbers gave him a measure of relief. His ears picked up the sound of a particular conversation. The way the man talked to the young lady..it just didn't sit right with Ohm. He walked up to Freya and her brother, giving them a smile before turning to Freya, Anadi was distracted with the destinations already so he might as well make some friends. He stuck a hand out, worldlessly waiting for a hand shake so he could properly greet them.
Just as he was getting into the groove of meeting everyone, he felt a familiar pull on his arm that beckoned him to abandon the conversation at hand for the sake of his sister. She pulled him to the side out of earshot of everyone and asked him something. Was he mad at her? He looked slightly jarred by this question, of all starter questions, it had to be this one? He wordlessly shook his head. Of course he wasn't angry with Anadi. Sure, she may have gotten the keyblade and was treated special and he didn't, but regardless, he wasn't going to get angry with her for running away. Hell, he was sacrificing his chance to be noticed by the rest of his family by just being here. her asking him how he got here prompted a tiny smile. He patted the blade that hung by his side, the blade with strange symbols engraved in it, the Rune Sword. That's what allowed him to be here. It was just as good as any keyblade. Her question about his mother and father sending him made him nod twice, but her question about him not speaking made his smile fade. He glanced down and wordlessly shrugged, he was more comfortable just not talking about that subject. The mystery continues. It was true that he spoke more with actions and gestures rather than verbal sentences. Actions speak louder than words after all. Kross was a tribal man, he had collections and masks from home that were very traditional, and quite exotic and strange. How someone as sophisticated as their mother would fall in love with a guy like Kross, he would never know, but his father had a special trait to him most didn't. He maintained his childhood innocence. He understood their more childlike side better than anyone else. His other siblings considered him a black sheep of the family because he couldn't wield a keyblade, but so what? It didn't mean he was useless. He was strong in his own way. He reached out and took both of Anadi's, leading her over to the table and gestured to a list of worlds to choose from, Beast's Castle and the World that never was, there was limited choices but diving more into this legend mystery would be fun, and perhaps his sister would enjoy it too.
Ohm wasn't expecting this many people to join in the conversation. All of them had quirks to define them but to be honest, he just simply wasn't interested in that. He just wanted to find his sister but to see her again, obviously angry with him and their parents was just something he didn't see coming. It just jarred him. He looked alongside himself to see Anadi stand beside him and introduce both herself and Ohm. She then nudged him and told him to be more polite. He wordlessly nodded and looked at the others. He waved to them before he felt a tug on his arm coming from his sister. He turned, looking at Anadi and frowned as she wanted to talk to him about something. She looked down and he could see tears pricking her eyes and his brows knitted. He reached out, touching both of her cheeks and his thumb brushed under her eyes to try to dry her tears. He hated seeing her sad. She may have run away and worried her parents but she was still his sister and he loved her. He was drawn from his musings when someone came up to them and started talking. He turned to the male with an appraising look. He decided that the male was an ally and he walked up, sticking his hand out to the rainbow-text man, giving a tiny smile and wordlessly greeted him.His eye caught the list of several places, looking over the names. Most of them he had heard of from his father, the World that Never was..not so much and he always wondered why. He skimmed through the list wordlessly, his blue eyes scanning over the names.
As expected, Anadi immediately met Ohm with contempt and anger. He sighed and rubbed his forehead. This was one reason why he was so hesitant to go in the first place, reasons like this. She then went away from him to browse the books on the library shelves. "Mm..."He murmured inaudibly in a slightly frustrated tone. Anadi had changed since she left home, she became a lot more hostile. How on the earth was he going to convince her to come back home? Ohm knew better than anyone that Anadi didn't hate him, did she hate her parents through him? Did he really look so much like their father that she would hold so much contempt? That couldn't be true, he wasn't like Kross. Maybe in appearance but definitely not in personality. He was about to go after her and try to somehow explain when a new voice interrupted the two, trying to coax them over aggressively. He paused mid-step and glanced, seeing the girl call out to him. He looked over to Anadi, knitting his brows before going over to the group hesitantly. He caught things like 'legend' and 'hero' and 'goddess' He didn't particularly care for it so he cast a glance to his sister, seeing if she would join in.
He had tracked his sister here, a huge castle..a huge fricken CASTLE. If his headache wasn't bad before, this was a real ringer. This was going to be troublesome if she was not in here and he would yell to the heavens if she wasn't. His blue eyes focused forward and saw the lowered bridge. He walked along the bridge and entered the castle. Maybe he would find his sister here and somehow bring her home. He heard some commotion going on upstairs and trekked his way up the stairs. He soon reached the double doors to the library. His eyes focused on a particular girl. Green hair..even if he didn't take in her features from the front, he recognized the green hair."Ah!" He called out, running over to Anadi, standing there and smiled to her smally and looked at the other strangers in the room."...Mm?"He gave a questioning look.
It was a headache getting this thread started and by god, Kross123 was going to post whether he had the muse or not. Nope, no one liners here and the intro post was going to be longer than most of his, if he had to spend all night on it. But this post isn't focused on the strifes of a lonely writer is it?..seriously, this post focuses on one boy, barely out of his adult years with a splitting headache, and that headache happened to be his younger sister. Out of the many children and fellow siblings he had, his parents had to pick him for the job. He was the only one out of the many children who did not inherit a keyblade and therefore ignored. Why he was even selected was beyond him and he would never know the reason. His parents had used up the energy in their crystals, they had a month at best, two if they were lucky. The blue crystal bounced along his armored chest as he walked, his eyes focused forward. It wasn't that he didn't know where to look. Well it was pretty much that, it was just that the trip itself was surreal. It felt like an LSD trip, not just the request itself but how he got here. The method, for some reason was now lost to him. In the deepest recesses of his memories, he remembered a shimmering light from his sheathed sword, and that was it. His task was very clear: Find his sister, Anadi and bring her home, but was there more to his task than meets the eye? He wasn't sure, but his adventurer instincts were burning, his strides brought him to this mysterious place. As fate would have it, he was lost. First rule of Adventuring: Gather information!
Big crowds at parking lots, especially at work. It's pretty common but I dread my work, I don't enjoy it much. Also, I hate annoying dancing stuffed animals ><
Kross promptly waved his hands infront of him as Minnie spoke to him."Think nothing of it Princess!" He said with a sheepish laugh."My master practically nailed it into my head so.."He rubbed the back of his head. he then heard Ananta and blinked."W..wait I.."He trailed off as she left to tend to Beuce. His brows knitted together and saw Karina approach Beuce too. He gave Minnie a bow and Base a smile before approaching Karina. He then held up his arms and flexed them."Karina, am I as strong as you yet?"He asked with a bright grin. He let his arms drop. He looked to the side."Karina..I want to tell you something..iterating from your discussion with Glen earlier."He said and looked at her."If you ever have the slightest notion that you're useless, you'll have me to think you're not. Look at you, strong, brave, stubborn..I wish I could be like you. I'm jealous."He said. He then turned to Beuce and eyed his arm-or what used to be his arm, now a stub."...Does it hurt?"He asked him as Ananta tended to him.

Kross watched on as Ananta exiting the room. He looked to the others for a split second. He processed the situation and turned, a gasp leaving his throat before he hurried on behind the two. He wasn't about to miss the action, nope, not now. He came to a stop behind them. He looked from Ananta, to Base, to D'Dear and then to the small feminine mouse. He blinked with shock as Minnie introduced herself and D'Dear introduced Ananta and Base. He walked beside Ananta and bowed waist-deep, putting his right fist to his left breast. He stood straight and smiled at Minnie."And I'm Kross, Nice to meet you, Princess Minnie."He said and looked to the side to Ananta and smiled at her. He looked to D'Dear. He overheard the two and turned to Ananta."It might be a good idea to ask Princess Minnie about Mickey, right? Maybe he knows what happened to Master Yen Sid?"
