Correct me if I'm wrong, but as long as you aren't distributing your own copies (IE a download or burned CD/dvd) then I don't think It's illegal. It's against some streaming sites rules, and people will probably get pissed at you for uploading, but I don't think it's illegal to stream as long as what you're streaming was obtained legally. As I said before, it's like buying a movie and watching it at your house with your friends. No illegal activity involved.
If you bought it then it should be fine. It'd be like inviting your friends to come see a movie you bought or rented. But downloaded content is another story, of course.
That's different. Bars pay for cable and are allowed to share it as such. I doubt the people who stream animu or torrented movies have paid for it.
