Also, You don't get to face certain villains if you partner with a certain character. For example, Since you're partnering with Zane that means you won't see Camula.

Oh Yes, and in order to see Atticus in his good form you have to go to the beach at exactly 6:00 AM. If I recall correctly though you have to beat the game first.

If I recall correctly you don't see him in his good form till you beat the game once and go to the beach. After you win the tournament with your partner you'll eventually meet him as Nightshroud. And you'll have to beat him in a Duel and defeat him.
