Question: I was thinking of playing either Ork or Marines. I wanted a mostly shooty army, with the option to melee. I am a major tactical history buff. I do like the way space marines look, but I had an epic comedic theme for an orklike army. Villistas.

The army I want to command as I envision it will be infantry orientated, with a lot of guns, and longer ranged weapons far back in cover (Devastators are really appealing, which is why I'm slightly leaning on marines). I also like the appeal of scout snipers with Sgt. Tellion directing the hits.

I guess my question is, can orks be built similarly? Do Orks have sniper and devastator equivalents? I know they have Big Shootahs. I was also wondering if such an army was practical to be built with Ork. I asked the guy at the shop, he said that most all players who play ork use Truks and Lots of Boys and unloading them at the front lines. What are your thoughts? My cousin intends on playing Eldar, but also needs advice. We're both noobs...

At the the bottom, the criminal has already claimed the area and has covered it with spikes. The man dangling is the CEO of a company entirely focused on toys built for high school teenagers. And Godzilla is on its way to crush the building.
