LulzSelc, this time, is apparently not the culprit -- LulzSec is well-known, but there are other hacker groups out there.

According to LulzSelc, its members like SEGA for its old systems, such as the Genesis, and stuff, and they would hack for them.

When SEGA Pass got hacked, LulzSec posted a Twitter for SEGA saying they wanted to know who hacked SEGA so they could get revenge.

Hackers are idiots!

The forums themselves are fine, but SEGA Pass got hacked on Thursday, 6/16/2011, so SEGA Pass was immediately brought down, but the forums remained up. The system that operates SEGA Pass also operates the SEGA forums, so when it went down for emergency maintenance on Friday, 6/17/2011 for SEGA Pass, so did the SEGA forums.

The SEGA forums have been down since June 17th, and still are, but I've been there since 7/28/2007, and out of those years (times are PDT):

The 404s were intentional, as the SEGA forums were brought back up from a maintenance when they weren't supposed to be, so just count the database errors.

In other words, awesome forums are awesome, but they aren't currently, because they're still down! =/
