Well... I've never been able to pull it off...
I think it's more of a photo shop thing... I presume though, it's the same sort of process as before, except you free form draw the box or perhaps get the shape from something else and then use the shape on the image you want to cookie cut... instead of using the square thing?

I'll tell you what.
I'll try a few different things out, see how well I do, and I'll let you know the results anyway.

Well, it depends if you're using GIMP or not, but what I tend to do is, save the file as a .PNG file, and then open that .PNG file in GIMP.
Choose the square select tool and outline the entire sig.
Then, if you look in the box to the left where you can select the tools. You'll see that there is a check box called rounded corners.
If you tick it, you can then use the slider bar to select how severe you want the round corners to be.
Once you do that, select EDIT then CUT, and paste it into a new layer, and delete the old layer, and tada.
Save it as a .PNG again, and you have the rounded corners that you so desire. :P
