Sorry for the delay, my computer was acting wierd, but anyway here ^^

How to replace models and msets (tutorial by Wheel of Time)


1. Get a dump by either making one yourself or download this one I made for you () (and these codes are Un-DMA which means they work every where and dosen't need to be activated in the particular room it was hacked in)

2. Open the dump in ps2dis (http://www.codemasters-project.net/portal-english/apportal/request.php?23)

3. Press Ctrl+G to open up the label searcher and search for a model name. Sora's model name is P_EX100 so type that in with quotes around it.

4. As you can see there's alot of P_EX100, go down to those who are named "P_EX100.mset" and test them by going to them and go up a bit and see what the label over it are (there are also sort of invisible labels who are only visible in the part over (don't know how to explain it but check the pic)

5. Continue this process until you find the one with the P_EX100 invisible label over it.

6. Copy the address lines where the label streches which is two lines

7. The value you see after the addresses is the things we should replace.

8. So search for another character's model, like Valor Form (P_EX100_BTLF) and copy the values instead for the address

9. As you can see this model have three lines instead of two so we have to add another line to our addresses which is the next address after the ones we already have

10. The final step is to change the first "0" in the address with a "2"



This will also work for Donald (P_EX020) and Goofy (P_EX030) and you can replace them with friendly bosses if you replace their model AND mset. The mset replacement works exactly the same as the model replacement so it shouldn't be a problem for you.

I think that it should be possible if you had some extractor and repacker for KH2.

No, it's not possible to take parts of models since... well, it's not possible to model cut with codes.

Okay, so what in KH2 do you want to hack? Texture codes? ^^

It's possible to change models that already is in the game, but if you want to add something that isn't in game then it's not possible to do with codes.

To make codes you need "dumps" and a program to read these dumps (ps2dis) ^^
If you want to give it a try then I suggest that you either check out some of my tutorials (that's for KH1 btw) but if you want a tutorial for KH2 then just ask me and I'll write a tutorial for you ^^

Unfortunatly modding weapon texutures is a bit more complicated and at the moment I haven't been able to find Kingdom Key's textures.

Is it possible to texture the Kingdom Key into this colour texture? That would be cool

You should try a dusk texture next. It would be interesting to see if the blink lights on the model transfer over

Why is sora's face so white when you change his textures?
-It really depends on which texture and since they have a different amount of bones you can't reallly control where each part is gonna go ^^

I can't really think of what textures to test, it would get alot easier with someone who comes up with ideas and I'm the do it guy :P I could post pictures if you want ^^

Also it's not possible to wield those weapons since they are attached to their models.

The problem with Twilight Xemnas is that he requires more than one UCM which would mean that would need to mod like 3 UCM's in that particular room which would mean that you can't go everywhere with that texture. But if you still want it, just say the word ^^

That's really awkward... Try put both codes under the same joker or without joker on the texture mod.

And I make them there since it's big and it's often used for the room mod and also we have Terra's portal there ^^

If the Ven code works on PS2 then this should as well, you need to tell me exactly which steps you did so I can help.

Unfortunatly I'm afraid that you have to make a new save file :/

And it may interfere with other codes. Wait... Do you save with codes?
If that's so then I suggest you use another save, because saved games with codes messes up your save file.
