Is there a way to counter King Dragun's effect? I usually just aim to destroy it to get rid of it, but that's only if I can get anything to destroy it on the field, otherwise my traps are prevented and my opponent can bombard me with his combos that I aided him create for a more interesting duel.

But that's the problem though. When Styx uses a Deck other than his Burn Deck his Deck is based around not letting the opponent control very many cards at a time.

As long as your hand number is higher than his Facedown cards's amount, there's nothing he can do if you play the cards right.

I'm sure people like you could pull something decent too, even if you were forced into defensive.
The problem is that it's very likely that Morphing Jar would come into play to get a good draw, and if you don't finish the duel the turn it activates, it'd be very dangerous in the next.

Still, Gearfried's effect won't activate until the chain is over, at which point he'll be dead. I believe the effect will activate in the grave though.

Not really. Level 5 isn't the easiest Synchro and with Exceeds coming that thing probably won't give much of an advantage anyway.

Okay, so there's a Duel going on right now in my Arena, XYZ Dragon Cannon's effect becomes Chain Link 1 targeting Gearfried The Swordmaster and Kunai with Chain becomes Chain Link 2. Can Kunai with Chain resolve in time for Gearfried's effect to become Chain Link 3 and destroy XYZ Dragon Cannon?

Absolutely not. Gearfrieds effect will only activate if Kunai being equipped was the last thing to happen. This won't be the case because the entire chain needs to resolve before anything can happen. Gearfried misses the timing.

That depends on which cards he actually reveals.
If he, for some reason, didn't draw a single card and left his hand at 1, terra would have hand advantage as long as he used a Pot of Greed, used one card to eventually get more draws (or miraculously solo the game, i don't know), and leaf the other two there only to negate Styx's two cards.

Else, i'm not really sure, depends on both of them really.
But i know for sure i could get a decent turn with two cards. Maybe not a clear advantage right away, but definitely not a complete loss.

Don't like bothering, but i got to say, that isn't unbeatable.
He got 4 cards set down, and even though they can't be destroyed, they can be bounced back to hand/forced to activate with Spiritualism, Bait Doll and the like.
And he's gonna have to use them sooner of later anyways.
