Nobody is good with those crappy starter decks they give you. Don't freak out about that. Personally, I will not play any YGO game until there's a code to get all of the cards.

No, I don't. Building a good deck that doesn't draw dead and dealing with bad hands are a part of skill. Sure the arena gets to show somebody's strength in combo-making, but there's A LOT more to the game than that. I'd go as far as to say that that is the least important part of the game, because the majority of people use combos that aren't their own anyway. As soon as someone comes up with a good combo, the whole YGO community knows about it. The skill comes into play when you need to build a good deck that accommodates that combo quickly and without drawing dead, and pulling it off in less than ideal conditions. The arena allows you to duel in best case scenario conditions. In the actual game, you will almost never have those conditions.
