It's good that you are concerned. It is very good actually, but one thing you need to do is keep your cool. I don't know how strong of a person she is but even the strongest of people need someone strong to count on. From my personal experiences the best thing you can do now is give her some space and be there for her when she needs you. Check in every once in a while, but recovering from surgery is tough man it really is (I had seven back surgeries so I know what it is like)

And as for what you might have said wrong. DON'T PANIC. Even if you did screw up big time that is the worst thing you can do at a time like this. I remember when I was talking to this girl (we aren't really talking anymore) and I said something that she took personally. And I was like: "I'm sooooo sorry I didn't mean to" and other things like that. Now little did I know she got over it quicker then expected and she got rather annoyed with me so she didn't talk to me for like a month (that was tough). What I should of done and what you should do is make sure she is ok first before jumping to conclusions and if something is wrong fix it (in time of course). Actions speak louder then words my friend and girls really follow that one big time so if you did something wrong then fix it and let it get fixed so do your part then let it be and let her heal first. If you keep poking a wound it will never heal.
