Well, I'm doing research, making a timeline of the games, etc. but right now I'm multitasking on homework so it's kind of difficult xD
But starting from Crisis Core is seeming more appealing to me by the minute

Hm, they might actually be able to work. The only problem is that we want to keep OCs to a minimum. So far, we're thinking 5 OCs max, excluding Rae and Lightning.
We'll probably start Lightning off in Before Crisis as a SOLDIER third-class (fun fact, there haven't been any female SOLDIERs in the games) and work her way up to first class, probably by the main game.
However, for Before Crisis, I proposed that we take the Turk characters and make them into temporary OCs, since those characters only exist in that game (aside from cameos) and then move on to the OCs who stay throughout the RP series once Crisis Core starts. Or we might just start with Crisis Core, I'm not sure lol.

I'll let you know what we decide once my friend comes online. I think I'll serve as a liaison for her and you for for Pro and Aerith while we work these out xD

I would actually understand if you didn't xD When she told me she had an FF RP idea in mind and asked if I was interested, my initial response was "as long as it isn't FFXIII." It'd get weird being in two RPs of the same title.

I would suggest waiting until you finish X-2 and then collaborating with us on FFVII, but you guys are probably far off from finishing, right?
The thread isn't up yet. She has the story done and I'm working on some plot ideas.
It has to do with a girl named Rae (it's short for something that I'm too lazy to look up xD I think Raelynn? or Raechel..or something) who has visions of the future. The initial idea was to put her in FFVII with the Turks after her.
Now, we're starting in Before Crisis where Shinra has ahold of her. Then we'll move on to Crisis Core, like I said.
We're actually including an alternate version of Lightning, though she's the only non-FFVII character we're doing that for
