      If I remember correctly there is an option "window_mode", change its value from off to on, change resolution if needed below, save and youre good to go.

      That first boss is really hard indeed. To get through the game you need to have strong characters. Level up, buy weapons etc.

      Also that screen problem is common, it's like that on me too, but I changed to windowed mode anyways. Well in the config file, is the resolution set correctly?
      Not sure how to fix it, but I'll look into it when I get the chance and let you know what I find.
