Well, Ichigo's is a person who adapts and could probably guess from what they coudl do, we never seen merry fight and Ichigo just summarizes what she could do.

Then Simon makes a Kamina speech and bam! He is awesome! Minus the crazy... (well... he is kinda crazy, but not as crazy as Kamina :P)
