Yeah, that works well, also since it's near the conclusion of FFX
It gives Lukya and Seymour's (and Daichi's somewhat) story a nice sense of closure being so close to the end.
Daichi will have a bit of forced closure from the conclusion of this Gagazet thing.
At least as far as the Ronso are concerned (that part will be fully closed once Kimahri becomes the leader).
The other sense of closure comes from defeating Sin which is Daichi's other want of Revenge.

You're part will be the closure of the romance I guess XD
Obviously on Gagazet after the Seymour part, Daichi is not going to be in the best of states.. I'm sure that Lukya is going to be there for him though lol *nice feeling is nice XD*

Hmm... if not in the thing with Seymour Flux, how about after defeating the final Seymour, just before Yuna does actually send him?
She can tell him before he gets sent which sort of is a nice closing to the whole thing.

Yeah, you often went out of your way to show that they had faith in each other despite the differences in race.

Daichi is actually similar to Seymour kind of, being a half-blood.
He is also meant to show the conflict in a single race (The Ronso for him). Essentially, he could be viewed as the opposite of Seymour in terms of similar circumstance, but Daichi is saved from his corruption where as Seymour fell to it.

Also, as you can probably tell, all of that made Daichi realise how much he missed her and was worried for her.
Of course he doesn't know what it means yet. But yeah lol
