What I said was the point of what you were trying to say?

Well I for one find it really annoying when I end up losing because of bad luck. It's unfair to me when I know that I would've won otherwise if I had drawn what I needed. It makes me feel like I was cheated out of a win. And yeah, I realize that it also takes skill to work with the cards that you draw but sometimes it truly IS impossible to make use of anything that you have in your hand. The Duel Arena merely creates a simulation of how the game would be if everyone always drew what they needed all the time like in the Anime. That's the only difference.

But if both players can do it then they'll know how to properly defend.

I can tell you that it's still always possible to lose due to bad luck no matter how good you build your deck or how well you shuffle it. It WILL happen sometimes. My Synchro Deck still loses due to bad luck sometimes but just not often. But I won't lie. It's extremely rare. XD Because I know you remember me showing you that Deck. It's a very good Deck and it usually gets me the win quite easily. It can usually take whatever the opponent throws at it. Whenever the opponent summons out something like Demise King of Armageddon Starlight Road is there for me! =D Man I love that card so much...But that Deck usually draws quite well for me and wins quite easily for me. And it's succeeded at different times where my Hero Deck failed. It's only been unlucky for me maybe about 3 times or so.

But anyway, My point is, it's still possible to lose due to bad luck no matter what. All you can do is decrease the chances of it happening. But in The Duel Arena bad luck is NEVER a problem.

Even less so with recent Archetypes that rely on Special Summoning (like Blackwings) or searching cards of their own kind (like Genex), I suppose. I wouldn't know; I quit playing some time after Ancient Sanctuary came out. XD

You're telling me that my win against that guy wasn't impressive all because I was picking my cards???

      *demands an explanation*

      Thanks I needed that. XD

Well I'm gonna have to take into account once again that I'm failure...

I thought all those wins I had in The Arena meant something...But now you're telling me that they don't...

What if I played with Konami's Full Banlist? Would they mean something then?

I just beat somebody in a Duel playing with Konami's Full Banlist while they were playing Traditional Format using Forbidden Cards. I hope THAT says something good about me...

But I guess you're just gonna tell me that it doesn't because I was playing without the random card draw.:sideways:

I've been meaning to ask you this, How the hell does playing with the random card draw prove who the better player is? The answer is it doesn't!

Let's say you had a Counter Trap in your Deck and you were Dueling somebody who you would've won against if you had only drawn that card so you could counter their move. Do you see my point yet? In The Duel Arena you don't have to worry about that kind of problem. Maybe I should've mentioned that sooner.

EDIT: And before you go all: "Well Deck-Building is also important" most people don't even use their own Decks that they built. Most of them just use cookie cutter decks.

I've been reading the discussion you've been having with Jaden. I'm not spying on you or anything, I just thought it was interesting.
I used to be a casual player in a previous life and I kind of wonder how competitive you would rate my Deck theme. I've sold all my cards a few years ago so I don't remember the full list though.

My Deck focused around cards that destroy my opponent's monsters. Once their field was clear I'd attack directly, albeit with few and somewhat weak monsters.
I recall having cards like Hammer Shot, Smashing Ground, Raigeki Break, Man-Eater Bug, Newdoria, Kryuel, Getsu Fuhma, (Bottomless) Trap Hole, Fissure, Offerings To The Doomed, Tribute To The Doomed, Yomi Ship, etc. Some of these were probably banned even at that time but I was only a casual player. I did enter one tournament but I got knocked out in the first round against the kid that would later win t (won some duels in the recreation room though).

How competitive is such a Deck? And does it have a name? Been wondering that for some time now. Thanks for your time anyway.

Well, although it appears as a shojo kind of anime, I guess it tries to make fun of various shonen stereotypes. It involves Yakuza gangs, one of which has a Terminator-like leader.

And does my browser have a glitch? Because it says that you're viewing my Arena right now....

Both of which have absolutely no bearing on the actual game. If you want to pride yourself on VG and Arena skills, I'm not taking that away from you. But claiming knowledge of the real game is ridiculous when you haven't played it.
      ----------
They can't be THAT different. They both play by the same rules, And I'll say once again that playing well in the Arena takes actual training the real game. You apparently didn't realize this but everyone who sucks in the real game has always ended up sucking in The Duel Arena too. So you can't say that doing well in one has nothing to do with doing well in the other.

Yes. Those people have NO IDEA what they are talking about.
      ----------
Then how come some of them write walkthroughs on the games???

      I haven't seen that one, so I wouldn't know.

Yes, it is silly, but that is why it is epic.
    14. Scarred Nobody
      Scarred Nobody
Yeah. I found it on Hulu. I also got into this one called My Bride Is A Mermaid. I can't explain it well; you just have to watch the first episode yourself. By three episodes in, you'll figure out if you love it or hate it.

The play is alright. I wouldn't say it's a retelling. It takes place in Neo-Verona, a city in the sky that's around the same time period as the play. Montague has been king for the past 14 years (I think) after killing off all the Capulet; except the very young daughter at the time, who was smuggled out of the castle by a loyal to Capulet. It has a similar plot structure to the play, but I wouldn't say it's a faithful adaptation. It changes a lot, but I think it tells the story very well. Plus, the ending is very touching. And the theme song is "You Raise Me Up". And William Shakespeare is a character.
    16. Scarred Nobody
      Scarred Nobody
Yeah, I've been watching a lot of anime. The last one I finished was Romeo X Juliet. Say way you will about the play, this one has some great story telling. I have some others on my list, but I'm more of a dub kind of person. I know the dubs exist, but for some reason, FUNimation took all of their dub materials down. All except the stuff for School Rumble, which, in my opinion, isn't that bad of a shoe.

I kind of just want to watch at least one movie a day. It'll just be a small escape from the craziness that is this world.

I'm kind of the same way with movies. I have this big movie collection, but I rarely re-watch them. The only one's I've re-watched are Ju-On, The Grud;ge, Unthinkable, The Fourth Kind, and The Social Network. I really want to re-watch my One Missed Call Trilogy though; they're fun to see.

Yeah, I remember having two others. One was with a bunch of Disney movie songs (the only one I really liked was "Circle of Life") and one that had a puppy theme, dealing with 101 Dalmatians.

Yeah, I hear it's pretty cool. I remember seeing it a lot on television when I was little. I had a 'Disneyland Sing-A-Long Song" movie that I would watch constantly.
