Always Dance

At first I always considered Pot of Greed as being as you just described Creature Swap. I see it as being a good card. Not broken. Just good.

I never really thought about how it gives a free deckslot though...I think I understand why it's Banned now...

Like I said I've seen other people post the theories I've come up with, I honestly do think it's amazing that a fair number of us are coming up with similar scenarios. It might mean we're headed in the right direction, though we can't know for sure until we can get back into Wayward Horizon.

Well yeah I'll admit there were times when I had that card in my Synchro Deck when it was completely useless to me. I had like 2 copies of it in my hand too but it wouldn't have worked for me since my opponent had more than one monster out.

I don't try to argue. You just don't explain things to me well enough for me to understand.

I don't know if I've ever told you this about me or not but back when I was in school I was in Special Ed...So yeah...I'm a bit different from a normal person...I have trouble understanding things unless they're explained to me just right...I hope you understand.

I'm sorry about this but I feel the need to discuss this Creature Swap card with you a bit further.

I hate this so much...Why in the HELL is this card at 3? It's ridiculously overpowered. Getting permanent control over your opponent's monster does not a fair card make. It should at the very least be Limited.

Mind telling me how this thing is so fair? You claim that this card is so easy to recover from.

But would you mind telling me what these methods of recovery are?

This thing is so broken it's not even funny...

For God's sake man! Just look at it! It's just another Snatch Steal! Except it's more broken. At least Snatch Steal gives you LP and gives you your monster back if you destroy it. =P

A few obscure points doesn't make you right. That's like me saying Ookazi is broken because it can kill your opponent if they only have 800 LP or less left.

Let me ask you something, If your only monster was a Blackwing Armor Master or a Blackwing Armed Wing and the AI stole it with Creature Swap and gave you an Ameba in it's place how the hell would you recover? And not only that, But you don't even get your monster back during the end phase!

I've gotten hit by Brain Control and Mind Control before and recovered just fine. And Hell, At least Change of Heart gives you your monster back. This card doesn't even do that.

This thing should be Banned...I am so sick of setting up a win only to have the AI Draw Creature Swap and then steal my Shining Flare Wingman, Absolute Zero, or Malicious Edge then end up winning the Duel because of it. And I don't even get my monster back during the end phase...This is making me mad enough to slam down and break my PSP and my DS...

This is enough to make me turn into Berserk Gorilla or some other angry Duel Monster...>_>

Konami is officially dumber that I ever imagined they were...

They Ban 2 cards that only give you one turn control over your opponent's monster and Limit one of them but do absolutely nothing about a card that gives you permanent control over your opponent's monster...

And if I recall correctly this card DID get hit at one point. But it was only Semi-Limited...WTF? O_o

Creature Swap lets you trade a search & summon Monster like a Mystic Tomato for permanent control over one of your opponent's best monsters and then not only can you attack Mystic Tomato but you will end up with an extra Monster to attack with as an award for your cowardice. This thing is way more broken than Mind Control.

Now if you would please be so kind as to just explain to me why this thing is so fair in a sophisticated manner instead of being an ass about it I would really appreciate it.

And if you do I promise that I will NEVER bother you about this subject ever again.

It kind of makes sense, since we're the ones being threatened with "being consumed", just as the people of Terminia were before Link's arrival.

I didn't catch that part before, that's definitely an interesting detail. Unless it's another reference to the actual game, as Terminia is considered an "alternate dimension" of Hyrule, in which it would only reinforce the fact that he's the ARG's Link.
But perhaps, if we are thinking along the lines of Majora's Mask, it's us that are in cyberspace, and Alex that is from the "another dimension" - the real world. Because if that's the case..."Within Hubris" could refer to the fact that we're somehow inside Matt's computer. Hence the binary. Matt helped us at first, so his computer could very well be the last "bastion of defense". BEN, naturally, would be trying to destroy that bastion. If Alex is on the run, he may not be able to get online - back to our world. And as seen in one of the vidoes, there's a good chance BEN can go to the real world in physical form too.
Unless I'm missing a really obvious detail or something, haha.

I believe that too, given the binary, but do you think it's possible that Alex is "asleep", as Link was after first entering the Temple of Time in OoT?
I recall seeing a theory thread that we've travelled through time in the ARG, but I don't know if I want to believe that. Mainly because it'd just add to the mind****ery @_@

I would totally be up for doing what I could to help. If you want to eventually make a playable game by the end, you probably wouldn't even have to have a 3D-graphic based game, hell, I could help you make a sprite-based one once I have time, haha.

I hope it at least gives us a timeframe to defeat BEN by, I read on one site (in regards to the shower) that it peaks on the night of the 22nd through the morning of the 23rd. I guess we'll have to wait for OOC Jad and see if he posts any updates in regards to the game, but...we'll see. I wonder what happens if we lose.

Yeah...it's such a great story too, this is the first ARG I've followed, and I gotta say I'm very impressed.
Again, I passively was there for all of it, watched the videos and whatnot but never actually took part. xD;; Most of, if not all, the theories I came up with were posted somewhere eventually anyway, so at that point I figured I'd just watch.
Oh I'm definitely going to play it, haha. Been waiting too long to pass that up. xD

I know, Son-*shot* Besides gaming companies, I can't think of anyone. I would like to go into game development as well, so my list would be all gaming companies. xD Like Square, BioWare, Bethesda, Capcom and so on. If Google wanted to hire me for some reason I would go for it. Hell yes.

I would say Apple, but if they found out I've jailbroken their iPod Touch 2Gs and iPhone 4s...that might not go over so well. And I only like their iPods/iPhones. I do want a Mac for the hell of it though. But they're too damned expensive.
