yeah kaoru's is the same and hikaru's is brown. there hair is not like that in the beginning. hikaru's hair changesto brown for an important reason.

the manga is very good there are websites were u can read the manga for free. i think you would love the manga. its really different from the anime once u get a bit far in the manga. the first couple chapters are like the episodes in the anime. also the episode were eclair shows up never happens in the manga .

i cried cuz first i watched the whole anime in a day and i watched the last episode at 4:00am. also it made me cry cuz like all the animes i watch it makes me sad when i get to the end cuz u get attached to the characters and all and then the anime ends. although i was happy that tamaki did not marry eclair. though i wish they based the anime more to the manga i think the anime would have been 10x better then.
