Press select while in the XMB. Does a menu come up? What firmware is currently loaded?

Ah well. You can now pirate PSP games as you like, and you're unlikely to get caught for it. even so, your choice.

What you've done so far is legal, just in case you were wondering.

Just stick all the stuff in MS0 onto the root of your memory stick, and then activate the plugins via holding R when booting up, and activating them in that menu.

By the way, do you have anything against piracy?

Some stuff mightn't work due to you using 5.50, which is more up-to-date than my firmware. The themes should work though.

So it works perfectly? If you hold down 'R' it boots into the recovery menu?

If you want help tweaking your PSP to make it more awesome in general, I can do that too.

The entire folder goes into the GAME folder. The folder should have some weird name, a jumble of letters and numbers. Keep that as it is, and stick the entire thing into ms0:/PSP/GAME/

Oh. ms0:/ is shorthand for 'root of the memory stick'. Kinda like how C:/ is shorthand for 'root of your computer'. So in this case, you'd place the Patapon folder inside the GAME folder inside the PSP folder on the root of your memory stick.

Just in case you don't know, the root is the upper most file-layer of the memory stick.

Anyway, there's usually a workaround if you want to do something on CFW. You just have to look for it.

If you need to run a game that won't play, then run this installer: http://pspslimhacks.com/custom-firmware-5-50-prometheus-3-v4-installer/

Only after you have CFW installed though.

Unzip this at the root of your memory stick.

- Download and install the Patapon Demo from here. (Place in ms0:/PSP/GAME/)
- Run Patapon, click on “continue” and load the crafter savegame
- When asked for it by patapon, click on “any button” to continue, then hold the RTrigger
- It should load the Hen, and return to the XMB. A message saying “Warning, memory leak!” might appear, this is normal, and won't prevent the Hen from running
- Once you're in the XMB, press “select” to make sure the TN Hen menu displays correctly.

Now run the Hellcats thing as explained before.
