It's not. There are a bunch of other sports that'll put you in shape. Cross Country/Track, soccer, baseball, and just normal exercising too.

They shouldn't go off and rant at you. It's not fair. They have to understand that you don't want to be part of it anymore.

I see. You should really do what you want to do. Don't go and do something just because others are expecting you or wanting you to do it. That's peer pressure and it makes it very hard for us to make a decision we want to do. Do what you think is best and don't listen what others want you to do.
