Alright, I can explain SOME of them: You see, The Midianites were evil. They were enemies of God. That was why he punished them. And the one about "Mass Genocide" was because the earth had become so full of sin. God needed to purge the earth of sin because it had become so full it. This was before Jesus had been born to die for the world's sins.
