It really depends on the person. Personally I rep someone if they critique my art, make me laugh, help me out, etc. Other people don't bother with rep at all.

Well if someone likes your post, they might give you reputation. If they don't they might take away from your reputation.

Well personally, I just helped people out when I could, and was an overall pleasant member. I was promised Site Helper status when KH-Vids moved to its current server, but the head admin at the top needed to take a leave of absence for surgery and appointed me as a temporary moderator at the time. We were good friends, and the site was a bit under staffed, so I was asked to stay. That was almost three years ago, and I've remained in my position since then.

Right now, you need to either apply to be a staff member or be nominated by a staff member. Then the staff will discuss their views on you, and if they think you have some potential they will interview you. If you pass the interview you'll be welcomed onto our staff. Applications are currently closed.
