Does Bane have that power/have the chance to develop it?

What should they do one they are in Ilainam? Should they talk to people there? Can the villagers there be controled by anyone?

Well... it depends of the secrecy of the secret. If a secret secret is so secret that it's secretly called a secret secret then I'd have to secretly tell someone that secret to keep it a secret secret. But if that secret was just a secret and not a secret secret, then I think it's be okay to tell someone that secert without too much secrecy. Secretly. =]
