Demyx is naturally confused for he decieves himself thinking he has feeling and emotions as we all know and Cloud well he's had a lot of hardship in his life and watched innocent people die due to the evil that surfaced. He blames himself for a lot of things and is trying to make up for that by trying to save another life. Plus I don't think he knows much about nobodies.
