Haha, not this time buddy. She's going out of town. Yeah i dunno i always get in this weird frame of mind where suddenly everything about myself is wrong. I'm serious about the running home thing, too. Had my shoes in hand and was about to take off before i remember my date telling me about how last year some guy had left her at that same dance and i would've felt like a total ******* so i stayed.

Lots of reasons. Don't dance, don't feel like learning. Girl i want to go with isn't going, and she probably wouldn't go with me anyway. Never even asked. Last time i went to a dance i got all sweaty and gross. Also i assume i look terrible in everything i dress in, and formal clothes make it worse. I feel extremely self conscious about dances, last time i almost ran home. Etc etc.
