I don't think there's any difference in the greatest hits version, and the game never received a patch, so sadly no. I'm sure you'll still enjoy it though :)
I think greatest hits is just a re-labeling at a discounted price, after a game sells a certain number of copies. 500,000 or more within a couple years, I believe.
I was under the impression greatest hits versions fixed bugs and the like. For example, the infamous Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly that was rushed, while it couldn't make the game how it was supposed to be, like having more content, the greatest hits version did fix the multiple bugs and glitches that plagued it, such as frame rate.
Things are different then they were in the PS2 era. Now, if there's a bug, developers work on patches that you download through updates that'll fix any existent issues. They don't need to wait for a greatest hits version to do that. That said, for some reason, Square-Enix never did release a patch for 1.5 or 2.5
