Seems only the poll owner can change that.

So I'm not sure if even Enzy will be able to fix it. How @Krowley did it, I don't know.

Doing testing on our test site, once a vote has been cast, the option to display votes publicly disappears, and not even staff can change it.

So it doesn't look it will happen due to privacy, which has been discussed before, and even if it were going to, it'd take a while.

I won't post the details, obviously; however, to solve the problem of people forgetting to check it where it should be checked, you can set it so it's checked by default by editing the helper_poll_create template. Then just add a note below it so can disable it if they want, which they can without the note, but it's just for clarity. Something like, "If you don't want users seeing other users' votes, uncheck this box."
