Sad. Of course we're better now, but there was a heat wave with temperatures in the 100s and humidity only around 20%, causing our annual fireworks show to be postponed until New Year's Eve.
Things were just extremely hot and dry, and counties near us have been getting hit with wildfires. Thankfully, our county hasn't had a major wildfire yet this summer and hopefully won't. We already had three summers in a row with wildfires (2012, 2013, 2014), thanks.
Don't remember if I showed you before, but here's a video showing the severity of last summer's Carlton Complex fire, Washington's largest wildfire, near Wenatchee. It burned pretty much the entire town of Pateros.
