Nope. From what I' ve heard the original V was much more of an anarchist, and much more ambiguous. Not sure how long/pricey a read it is, but the recent events definitely brought it up to my mind.

No, more from what I' ve heard, but I' d rather make up my own mind about it. On second thought I' ll probably end up downloading it : the libraries in my area sell very few untranslated books.

They are much less ambiguous than the film... The ambiguity of the film is the reason Moore was angry about it. I'm not sure who told you that but I'm not sure what they were talking about.
