Right so, this has to do with Civ 5 mods. You see quite a few mods I want say that they require Gods & Kings in order to play. Now I got the Gold Edition of Civ 5 which came with that expansion already but I also got Brave New World. Should the mods still work regardless if I have BNW as long as I have G&K?

Unless the mod otherwise states in the description, I believe it'll work fine. As long as the modder has updated the mod since the release it should be alright, again unless otherwise stated. Basically read the description.
If it doesn't work, like the game crashing or whatever, uninstall and unsubscribe the mod. Whatever you think cause the potential problem, get rid of it.

Well the descriptions of the mods I'm looking at just say "requires Gods & Kings" and I don't see anything else. It doesn't specifically say "won't work with Brave New World" or anything like that, so I'm guessing the mods should work. Maybe. I've never gotten mods. :\

Should work, as long as the description doesn't say ' doesn't work with x mod' then it should. You'll find out when you load the game anyway.
