Cu Chulainn. Also, Loxie has work tomorrow and will not be replying anymore today. But feel free to keep going. I'll read it tomorrow morning. Night BIU!
Ah. The one who alludes to Cu is Ebon. He's a wolf faunus (cause Cu's name means Culann's Hound. Get it? Hounds and wolves are canines? Eh? EH?) who is trained in martial arts by a Huntress (who is in turn based off Scáthach), later changes his name to his current name (similar to how Cu changed his name from Sétanta to Cú Chulainn) and become the bodyguard to Irvin (like how Cú Chulainn took the role as Culann's hound).
Ah, so it's a plot point. Give me those cookies, this is turning out to be a long story. Especially with you writing little bits of it and then waiting for me to reply.
Continue BIU. You've only told me about Ebon's story so far. You have three other characters to go through, and that's only assuming you've finished Ebon's.
Well okay. Jin Jing is up I guess. Well Jing was the daughter of a gangster in what could be considered the RWBY equivalent of the Yakuza in Vacuo that all but controlled the city they were located in. She was best buds with a few other children of gangsters, of of which was the leader's son. The gang however was eventually taken down and that created a power vacuum.
The children of the gangsters, including Jing, decided to try and keep the power in their hands so made their own gang to try and take hold of what the old gang had and are in a several year long gang war with the multiple other gangs in the city. Jing is a lieutenant in the gang and is arguably their best fighter. She takes parts in underground fight clubs and illegal street races.
Eventually though they were attacked and they lost badly. Jing managed to escape, feigning her own death in the ensuing carnage, left Vacuo and decided to lay low until things died down. So she got some forged transcripts and got into Beacon.
See, that's how you tell a person about a thing. Does she have any contact with her old gang? Does she later? Now that she's in Beacon, will she ever go back to the gang or is BEIJ her new "gang"?
She is currently one of the more fleshed out characters so far and a lengthy explanation was needed.
She has some contact with the gang but it is very infrequent. When she first came to Beacon she has all the intention of going back to her gang, but I'm thinking that overtime she becomes use to her life at Beacon and her teammates and will probably leave her gang life behind and become a proper warrior.
She is going to be a target for Ebon to snark at because of that.
I guess we'll go with Irvin next. He is not nearly as eventful as Jing. Irvin is the the sixth child of rather wealthy family that runs an agricultural company. Because of his status as the youngest child he is rather spoiled growing up but grew up as a rather sweet young guy. He is cheerful, friendly, and ladies man. One day he got bored of luxurious life style and decided to pick of hunting (animals, not Grimm) as a hobby which he was quite good at and enjoyed a lot.
Over time he got quite a few trophies out of his kills, then he heard reports of a bird Grimm attacking one of his family's farms and decided he'll go and take care of it. He tracked the Grimm to its lair and attacked it. The battle was back and forth with Irvin starting to lose when Ebon, who was passing through and heard the battle, came in and helped him out. Irvin thanked him, brought him home and told his family the story. Irvin's father was proud of his son but scolded him for his recklessness and offered Ebon a job as Irvin's bodyguard.
Since fighting the Grimm, Irvin began added Grimm kills to his hunt, taking a picture of his kills and buying replicas later so he'll have trophies. Eventually he decided to try and become a Huntsman, after all, hunting Grimm was fun. Why not go to a school to train you to become a hunter of Grimm that also lets you help people?
Ah, so he's in it for the sport. Good for him though It's good to find a job doing what you love. Also loving the "passing through" convenience bit. It never seems plausible, but hey! It could happen. What does his parents think of his super dangerous job? Also, is Ebon still his bodyguard now that they're in school together? And if ordered, would Ebon abandon Irvin to go save someone else? Would Irvin order that ever? Does Ebon listen to orders?
Ebon has been drifting around kingdom to kingdom, mostly because he keeps killing/severely injuring the people he fights which as you can guess makes a lot of enemies, so he just happened to be camping out in the forest Irvin was hunting the Grimm.
His father and sisters approves. His brother less so.
Ebon is still Irvin's bodyguard, he had no intention of ever becoming a Huntsman but Irvin was going to the school. It makes sense he'd follow him there too. They're also best friends.
As for whether or not he'd abandon Irvin, doubtful
Cool. Cool. That does make sense. Is he in it for the money or is he loyal to Irvin? If loyal, what did Irvin do to get his loyalty? Do they consider themselves friends or guy and bodyguard? Are they on a contract basis? If the contract runs out, would Ebon split?
Also, I posted a fic. It's Batman and Kingdom Hearts.
He's loyal to Irvin, money just enhances it really. They do consider themselves friends, they do stuff together all the time (mostly because Irvin drags Ebon along). Ebon is a paid employee of the Reilly family, something he can quiet doing just like any job.
So, a brother's in arms thing? They work together long enough and eventually become besties? Or was there a big event that popped them over the work relation cliff into the waters of bro?
They're fighting styles compliment one another (Ebon handles close combat, Irvin ranged), so they have a good working relationship. They meant at the age of 14 so about 3 years now. Irvin is rather casual with Ebon so Irvin is happy to just hang out with him.
Bezhevyy I honestly haven't nailed out all the details of yet. He was born to some farmers. Born without anything below his knees. Spent a good chunk of his life wheelchair bound because his family couldn't afford the cybernetic limbs necessary to allow him to walk. He loves horses and managed to learn how to ride them despite his disability. On his 13th birthday he finally got those prosthetic limbs. At this point I haven't finished his story yet.
