I was thinking about making a model with a helmet instead of hair, yet I felt like I wanted to go with the head first.

Did you run into any problems that you needed help with?

Making the model sheet is a problem because of proportions of the character, Siegfried from Wild Arms 3

If you can draw the front view correctly, you just have to make some horizontal lines across the page, marking off important parts, like at the chin, chest, hips, knees, and any key details on the character, like if a character is wearing both a shirt and a coat, you mark off where each of those pieces of clothing end.

And if you're still having trouble, you don't have to have 2 images. As long as you make it look good in 3D space, it doesn't matter how many reference images you have.
