For JRPGS, the easiest cliff hanger is right before a boss fight, since most of them have save points outside of the boss door, if you're running up on say 15ish minutes as you get to the save point, that's a great leaving point.
Other than that it'd be general cases of "Ok so we've just defeated XXX and we found out his plans are taking us to YYY to stop his boss, ZZZ, but we'll head there next time" you know things like that, when a new plot development has occured to take you to a new destination, the journey going there is a good starting point for a new video.
I just thought of something. What about battles lasting more than 15-20 minutes?
For example, on my 4th walkthrough of Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits, during the final battles, the second battle, of the three battles total, lasted from 13:59 until 40:21.
Well, I'd end the video just before the fight starts (for final battles it's fine to end a part without saying much when it's transition from one fight to another, again it's just good cliff hanger stuff) and have a while separate video for that fight given it's 26 minutes long or so, that's really the best thing to do.
In a general sense, if(we're going on the expectation that 20 minutes is a good point to stop) you're like 7 minutes into a video, and the fight starts then, keep the video going until the end of the fight, keeping a fight to one video is a good idea, so while 20 minutes would be the general maximum, its fine to over reach that if a fight drags on.
