Not exactly. They did it because they wanted to protect the world that Kamina gave them. He gave them Team Dai-Gurren, the Dai-Gurren itself, and Simon. Without those, they would have been trapped under the surface forever. Kamina saved them all, so they want to continue doing that sort of thing.

Yeah, it's because everyone was thinking about why they're doing it, and for the most part it was because of Kamina. All those thoughts about him converged into STTGL as it was made, and since TTGL and STTGL are said to exist in spaces that cause thoughts to become reality, Kamina was brought forth in the same way that Lordgenome's body was.

It's shorthand for "something that has been stated by the creators". Hence why it's called Word of God; they're the god of their universe, because they created it.
And yes, I meant IS, not LOOKS LIKE. STTGL is a reincarnation of Kamina, meaning that Kamina himself is in fact helping to fight the Anti-Spirals in the end after all.
