Yeah, that and it makes me actually have to deal with my problems. I don't like dealing with them, I prefer to set them aside and try to let them fade away on their own.

Again, you get use to it. I have been listening to her compain about various things in her life for the past 3 years. It is like "Dude, you don't think that I have my own handfull of problems" the only difference is that I don't like to share them, like ever

Yeah it would have been for her. I would have been fine, except I would have to listen to her compain about her grandma for the next week or so

Well she would have. her grandma is to nice to yell at her infront of me when she is mad but when they got hoke should would have probably gotten a earfull

She wasn't overly impressed with the topic in the end but she didn't get us in trouble, so thats good. We were lucky her grandma was far enough behind us that she didn't hear any of it

I got use to it along time ago. I have always got picked on and bullied so that is the easiest way of dealing with things. But yes my mom was right next to me at the time

I stopped listening after her first comment on it and tried to still enjoy the fireworks despite her comment on them

It is quite fun but I laugh, most places that live on the water would race canoes or sailboats while we race bathtubs.

Last year she went on a whole rant about it, and I am sitting there going "please stop talking.... like now"

The bathtub race, happens this time every year. It is a weekend of bands and just fun stuff downtown, bunch of different stands and whatever, as well as a kids playzone. on the saturday of that weekend they do fireworks and the sunday moning the race begins. People customize bathtubs into boats, put a motor on them and then race them to Vancouver and back (about a 3 hour trip) We are usually in church for the start of the race but watch the end of it. It is alot of fun and it is the biggest event in the summer here.

thats better than what my friend views fireworks to be like. she says they are like sperm.... good thing she didn't come with us to watch them this year because my 5 and 7 year old cousins were there

For the bathtub race weekend. It is a big event in Nanaimo
