Ilya was able to do all his thinking for him, as well as use infinite Command Spells to get him to do what she wanted. He can't resist those if he's in Mad Enhancement, making him more obedient.
Also, some Berserkers have been known to be able to use their Phantasms regardless of ME, such as Lancelot and Lu Bu (bad example due to Extra's rules, but still valid)

Well the reasoning behind that was that it would make him even stronger, and as they demonstrated; Heracles pretty much dominated EVERYONE in the Fate scenario. It would have done the same in UBW if Gilgamesh hadn't bulletspammed him.
Though that raises the question; since Shirou is proven to be able to do a similar action with his projection, why didn't Archer do that when it would have meant both his survival and that he had stopped Heracles of all Servants.

He really does. He has two abilities; being evil, and hurting people. His weapons are about as durable as pencils, and the best thing he has going for him is his laugh.

Technically Grail-kun is a seperate Holy Grail from the one that he corrupted. Grail-kun could be involved in his summoning or something, but nothing permenant would have to happen to him unless you wanted it to.
