No, it isn't. Sometimes we're going to have fast days, like when there's major events going on, or inter-player conversations. That means you're going to post a fair ammount without affecting the plot much at all.
My thought is that everyone should really just shut up and use common sense. If there's only one post to respond to, does it need a response, or does it need to wait for others to have their say? Do I need to take part in this fight right now, or would my characters join it later? Things like that. If people can't control themselves, or make up their own minds about what it is they should be doing, then they really shouldn't be in the RP section at all.

The issue isn't new people.

No, I'm not doing that, that's stupid outright. Not only would we not be allowed to do that in the first place, but you think we should close our doors to new people for 6 months at a time, or more?
