Second - I've decided who Harolds master is going to be... NOT a servant of Kronos... infact, probably the strangest master ever.

All valid points. But you never know, they could end up making the post-timeskip Soul Calibur games work. With a game like SC, anything is possible.

My mistake.
I do agree to a certain extent. It confused the hell out of me seeing these new characters. I found myself asking questions like "Who the hell're these guys?" and "Where's *Insert classic character here*?". One of the good things that came from it, in my opinion, was Patroklos. In my opinion, he's one of the better characters that were added in SCV moveset-wise.

Random isn't bad either. It means you're unpredictable, which is good in a fighter.

Siegfreid and Nightmare are different situations, what with them being the same entity at one point, like you said. They're movesets had to be similar. Everybody else either was reworked a bit from game to game, or replaced with another character with nearly the same moveset. Kilik and Xiba are prime examples (Even though Kilik was in SCV, he was one of those multi-moveset characters as you know).

While this is true, most movesets generally stay close to their original form with some changes here or there.

I didn't say those two were the only ones, nor did I say you played using any of them. I'm just saying those are the two I mainly see.

...Not really. If they're using a Fight Stick/Arcade Stick/Whatever you wanna call it, the controls are generally the same. And yes, most systems that the Soul Calibur series has been on also have fight sticks made for them.

That's also a legit strategy. The way I see it, there's two main styles of play in most fighting games: Playing it safe (Which basically waits for an opening to strike) or Taking a Risk (Which tried to make an opening themself). I like to play a little riskier.

Well not necessarily "worse", but...Less skilled (lol it's the same thing). Besides, those players have been playing the Soul series since it's infancy, so they've had a tremendous amount of practice. Watching those players just motivates me to learn new things and better myself as a player.

Yeah, that's always a nice combo. I usually try to maximize the amount of hits before I pull of the Critical Edge, just so I have that extra bit of damage added on there.

I just like watching the high-level players fight. Some of the stuff they pull off is just amazing.

Don't worry, my next post will just be Patroklos fighting off some more of Rasputin's demons. I'll make sure nothing goes forward until you're ready for it to go forward.

True...It may also have a lot to do with the amount of tournament play that I watch. Customs are never used in them, so every single Patroklos player ONLY uses Patroklos...I guess it makes me feel like I'm a bit better or something. It's dumb, I know...But it helps.

Anyway, I should probably get back to posting.

I've tried using Patroklos's style on Customs before, and for some reason I never have as much fun as when I use Patroklos himself. I guess it's just because I like him as a character.
