      Yeah.

Except for one point near the end, where the voice expresses disappointment. And that's it.

Yeah, the whole soundtrack would be purely ambience. Except for one part, where the music would actually be playing in-universe. And there'd be nobody there to have been playing it.

The ones that could be pushed off of ledges etc, and possible a few killable ones.

Well how about he changes to being unhelpful fairly early? That would mean that they only person 'there' with them is completely untrustworthy, and he's only be there for certain moments anyway.

"Good" ending requires you to have not killed anybody, but you can still use weapons. Your end would be one possible ending that you get from not killing a certain amount of monsters when able to. Mine would require you to have killed all other monsters. Then we could have a seperate bad ending that has you becoming an even worse monster.
I also thought of something cool; all through the game you have a narrator that guides the player character. You're supposed to think it's their inner voice or something. It tells them what might be a good idea at certain times, and how they can escape oncoming monsters. About a quarter of the way into the game, it slowly starts encouraging you to make worse and worse decisions, some of which might work out anyway, but others would fail if you followed them. About 3/4 in this changes to full-on encouraging you to get yourself killed. Then, as you get closer to the ending, it gives you good advice again, and tells you that there's not far to go and you can make it.
The voice turns out to be the monster from my ending, who was only guiding you to himself.

How about this then. That's the standard final boss, but there's a secret one that you can get to if you take a specific route. This one being even worse, on account that you play as it entirely in first person. You don't even get to see what it is that's beating the crap out of you; you just get to do it.

I like that idea too. Obviously we need multiple endings. All of them bad except one, which would be bittersweet; you get home, the monsters have already been through your hometown and killed/eaten everyone. You live there alone for the rest of your life.

      Nnnn I am not! D:

Oh no it's one of those ones that they actually draw on you. It lasts for like 5 weeks.

To go with that idea; there could be some monsters they see, but never encounter properly. The idea being that they'd be constantly paranoid that those ones are going to be just around the corner.
The "last boss" could be the player character themselves, where you play as one of the monsters, or somebody that's been driven insane by them. There's no way to avoid your character being killed.

      Why is that? ; ;

Not really. I'm in Vegas atm. And I got a Nyan Cay temp tattoo. <3

      Sounds legit.

That would only work the first encounter. As an addendum to your idea; the enemy can be pushed back with some weapons, like baseball bats and rocket launchers, even though they can't be harmed or killed. There may be one or two encounters where you can at the very least get rid of a monster by beating it until it falls off a ledge or something.

      Sounds like Alan Wake.

      TOO BAD, WALUIGI TIME.

      Oh? Let's hear it.

Yeah... I know. AND ON THAT DAY, THE RP SHALL TRULY BE MINE! BWAHAHAHAHA!
But seriously though, half of my characters are fairly obscure.

"Grail-kun! Dio keeps putting signs on my back!"

      Pinekaboo
Yes. And constantly puts "knife me" signs on peoples backs using timestops.

And joins Melvin. Because Melvin's group is the dumping ground for defeated villains.

      Pinekaboo
That could happen after the tournament, if you wished. And once he's beaten, he can come back with his alternate universe tv.
    20. Pinekaboo
      Pinekaboo
Exactly as I said; a group of villains attacking a city, slaughtering the civilians. If a fight broke out the villains have to win or escape, but I've no problem with somebody being a tough fight, depending on who they are. But it's cool, you don't need to feel obligated to bring anyone in, it was just an offer is all.
