Well, Mic can't use his music to attack anything, so he uses the other side to his power for that: microwaves. Basically, the sound isn't the real cause of what happens, the microwave radiation is. Likewise, Axel doesn't have a buffing power, because that's not something a main character would use.
Axel can, however, use the same summoning lightning ability that Eddie has. So essentially, they'd be an amazing team.

Considering two others for Cove, both from Rosario Vampire. If I had them, between me, Droid, and Krown, we'd have all the main girls. The girls are Yukari, a witch, and Kurumu, a succubus. They act like they hate each other's guts, but really they're not bad friends. Only problem I can see would be that Kurumu really likes to flaunt her... "assets". She even has a song about them.
