I ask because apparently some modders in the Pokemon community have "upgraded" Pokemon white. A prime example of this upgrade is that all pokemon from every generation are catchable from the start. Another upgrade is that the first gym leader (Forgot the name. It's the one where you could fight one of three depending on your starter) has been changed to where you fight all three in a triple battle. There are also new ways to evolve Pokemon that were originally only evolved through trades. I could give you the link to the rom if you'd like. Though we may need to do it through an IM thing or something.

I say go with the latter option. Building up a character into a big boss is better than just having it be a boss to begin with.

That's what I've been trying to tell him. He claims that since the designs aren't as "original" as the first two generations (Which they really weren't, they were just mainly based off of animals. It doesn't take a genius to take an animal, change it up a bit, and call it a Pokemon), and that the newer Pokemon are garbage. He says that his point is automatically right because of Trubbish and Garbodor. Yeah, I think the trash bag design is a bit weird, but that doesn't automatically make the series bad. Ah, well. Looks like he randomly got off after I told him about my last point.

Same there isn't a class dedicated to blunt weapon users. Then again "Hammer" doesn't quite have the same ring as the other classes have.

Your pokemon gif brings me to ask a question: Me and a friend on Facebook are currently arguing over the current state of the Pokemon series. He says that, as of recent years, Pokemon is a dying franchise. He says that because some of the Pokemon have questionable designs, that they are worse than, say, Generation 1 and 2. What's your opinion on the matter?

Probably Riders and Assassins could use blunt weapons. Plus there aren't a lot of legendary figures that use magical blunt weapons.
