That would work perfectly fine. I wouldn't say cut her power in half though, that might make her a little underpowered. It makes her weaker, but don't give a set number.
Also, you'd need a weaponised power too. Something you can do damage with.

Not really. Those are things she'd be able to do with her ability, but I'm talking bigger. For example; Mami Tomoe can spawn an infinite number of guns, Homura can stop time and has a hammerspace portal in her shield. Things like that.

Ignoring magic for a moment, what would you want her to be able to do? Think any kind of power at all.
